Our tour guide recommended this place which was a short walk from our hotel New Yorker. It's a tiny hole in the wall place that seems truly "local" (not for tourists). They have a brick oven to bake the thin crust pizza, so the crust is chewy yet crispy. I had Pizza del Nonno which had crushed San Marzano tomatoes... More

My husband and I wanted to find a great Italian restaurant in NYC that didn't require a reservation months in advance. We found out about Capizzi through our hotel, and it was amaaazing. The staff was super nice, pizza was delicious and wine complimented everything perfectly. Highly recommend!!

Pizza is fresh, waitstaff very friendly. Large pizza for dine-in small. Listed as wine bar, not as described.

Arrived late in the evening after the rush & so the restaurant was fairly quiet. My husband discovered the restaurant by using Google. We had the Arugula Salad to start which was delicious & the Pizzas were thin crusted, very flavourful & beautifully cooked. We had some house Chianti with the meal which was excellent and complimented the food beautifully.... More

We were staying near hells kitchen beside the Port Authority terminal and asked the bellboy at our hotel where we could get a quick late night snack. He recommended Capizzi. We were not disappointed. The food was very good, the service was excellent, and the prices were quite reasonable. We would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I've lately stumbled upon Pizza del Nonno in some pizza joints in New York and New Jersey. The one I had at Capizzi was special in that not only is the crispy crust delicious, but the San Marzano tomatoes were THE star of the pie (no mozzarella on this pizza). The garlic flavor was present, but not overpowering. Just a... More

This place is very close to port authority in Hell's Kitchen. The pizzas were really very good and the service excellent. Good value for money

The wife and I wanted real "NYC" pizza, and we found Capizzi and it definitely did not disappoint. The place is small but really, really cool. Depending on the night you may want to make reservations. The prices are really reasonable. Absolutely delicious!

I chose this restaurant because I needed a quick family friendly meal before theatre event on 47th Street. This is only about 10 minutes walk from the theatre district, and wasn't crowded pre-show on a Thursday. 3 of us shared an appetizer salad and 2 personal sized pizzas, which was plenty of food, made to order, and on the table... We wanted to eat at an authentic Italian Pizza place while in NYC and our hotel recommended Capizzi. I was a bit doubtful when we arrived, it looked a bit rundown from the outside. it doesn't have a huge amount of tables and the wait staff were very attentive. We had an antipasti platter to start then shared 2 pizza's... More
