We were nicely treated by this lovely waitress. She even took some pictures of us while we were starting our antipasti plate for starter. The antipasti however was not that impressive, they take canned muchrooms, and not the original parma ham (which is a protected brand NB!). But it tasted good. We ordered a nice bottle of red wine. The... More

Our first impression was the nostalgic décor; a throw back some fifty years or more. The water was served from a bottle and the napkins resembled dish clothes from my grandma's house. The brick oven stood in the background behind lines of hanging herbs and hot pepper. There were numerous choices of toppings for the personal sized pizzas. Many offered... More

We ate here on our last night in NYC on April 6th. We had not researched it prior and lucked out. It was a quaint little place with great staff, great employees and great food for our $$.

We came across Capizzi as we wanted something close to the hotel on a cold, wet evening. We were not disappointed with the find! Lovely food, fresh ingredients and a nice glass of red were very welcoming as were the hosts. Would recommend to anyone wanting a traditional pizza in the heart of NYC.

Nice pizza but way more expensive than it should be. Service was good and had a good atmosphere but I wouldn't go back at that price.

A very enjoyable experience. The special appetizer with mozzarella, tomatoes, and prosciutto was excellent as was the pizza. The staff were courteous and efficient.

Ran into this place walking around in Hell's Kitchen area. Fantastic brick oven pizza and arugala & mozzarella salad. Great for families, couples and friends with friendly family service staff who will have a conversation with you. I learned the history of the restaurant and where the Capizzi's family are from in Italy in just 10 minutes. Loved it! I'll... More

I loved this place for it's sheer focus on core values and simplicity. Take a simple concept. Add no frills. Deliver it well, in fact with precision and excellence. We were only visiting NY, but if I lived here, I would be here every week. The place is casual, don't expect pomp and ceremony. Instead, you get the most charming... More

We just happened to stubble on this place one nite. It was great food. I highly recommend the sangria! The pizza was more than I could finish. We also had salad which was a pretty big serving size and was equally delicious. Would highly recommend this place.
