The bellman at the Staybridge Hotel and Suites recommended Capizzi to us. We told him we had had a long day of travelling and were starving.. we knew we didn't have to go far as we were next to Hell's Kitchen, but we wanted to make sure we picked the right spot. They keep it simple, which is nice. Old... More

We were walking back to our hotel from a nearby off-broadway theater and stumbled on Capizzi. Not sure about the security issues other reviewers cite, we felt completely safe. Great thin crust pizza served very quickly, perfect for a couple looking for a quick bite. Very reasonably priced. Kudos Capizzi! PS - that section of 9th Avenue is a find.... More

Hands down the best pizza I've had in a long time! Yes like others have stated, it's in a rough part of town but there is police all over. Also, the place is small so expect a wait going on a weekend. The service is much slower with a full house. We went twice during our stay. During the second... More

Capizzi is just across from Port Authority. Kind of a shady neighborhood at night. I felt better when I saw the Police patrolling the area. I entered Capizzi and was greeted by a very friendly waiter. He answered all my questions very well. I ordered a small cheese pizza (12 inch diameter) which is perfect for one person. The pizza... My wife and I decided to grab some pizza on Saturday night and take it back to the hotel. Capizzi offered a lot of good-looking toppings and accepted credit cards. We have a pizza with caramelized onions, roasted garlic, and italian sausage. We also got the arugula salad for some much-needed vegetation. The salad was very nice and fresh. The... More

This is a sweet little place - great pizza and appetizers. We had the aranchine and the antipasta and they were both well prepared and authentic. The pizza was wonderful, made in the true Sicilian style. This place has had mixed reviews (price, service, etc.). We found no problems. Service was a little flaky, but food arrived on time and... Capizzi is located right behind the Port Authority Bus Terminal which is nice when you want a good pizza for dinner. Walking out the back door and across the street, this four year old establishment has won many accolades for their pizza and is well worth the trip. I had their pizza with soppacola, sun-dried tomatoes. caramelized onions and fresh... More

6 boys on a NYC trip. Authentic and tasty at every point. Pizza fresh and tasty. Owners were great and I'm so happy we came. Finished with a canolli. Unreal.

One of the best I've had at an Italian restaurant. Had a simple margherita pizza with sweet sausage and a glass of wine. Was well priced, arrived quickly and was outstanding pizza. This place was totally packed at 9PM on a Tuesday no less! I can't wait to eat here again the next time I am down in the city... More
