Nice place for oysters.

In New York there are many places for taste the best oyster from both coasts, but this one has a special touch. It's a bar in a corner of Broadway and West 29th St. for going after office. it's very informal, with a "kitch" decoration, but very good meals. Oyster, crabs, clambs, lobster, etc... read more

Having enjoyed John Dory in its Chelsea location years ago, we finally got around to trying it in its current spot. The space is much expanded and the decor is eye-catching but that's about the best we can say now. You're seated high up on bar stools which is not the most comfortable position, and you almost feel as if... More

Good lunch but pricey, lobster roll very expensive for one roll in overtoasted bun. Lots of lobster but not very tasty. Lobster and scrambled eggs is very fishy. Draft beer selection limited but interesting with some unfamiliar brands.

Considering I was born and have lived at the Beach in Florida for almost 30 years, I typically shy away from seafood places when I travel. I mean, what could they possibly have that I can't get better and fresher? Well this restaurant was a pleasant surprise. I was staying at the Ace Hotel and got in late my first... More

I was looking for a good place to get oysters for happy hour and found this place highly rated. I must say, I definitely thought it lived up to its ratings. Their weekend happy hour is from noon-3pm with drink specials and $2 select oysters. I sat at the oyster bar, which was cool to watch them shuck my oyster... More

Stopped for a late afternoon snack here. Very well made cocktails and the lady bar tender was kind enough to let us have a read of a selection of the cocktail books behind the bar. The Kingsley Amis guide to drinking was hilarious. I had a lobster roll. Good but not great, to my taste the bun was too toasted... More

We wanted a simple meal but ended up spending $450 for 5 people. The food was fine but $18 for a glass of Merlot Cab blend was silly. No need to return.

I had a half dozen oysters (local Long Island oysters (Naked Cowboys), and some Royal Miyagi. They were perfect, plump, clean and crisp...with a little mignonette. Had a Hendricks gin martini to wash it down. That was it. Chatted with the bartender and hostess a bit, super friendly and informative, even though it was jamming busy on a Wednesday night.... More

My wife and I joined friends here for dinner (their choice) and we were all looking forward to it. Unfortunately we all left disappointed. The food was OK, but the portions were small (really small). Our waitress was making an effort, but the service was notably poor. The price was high and we all felt that we'd had little value... More

Late lunch on a Saturday. Love the atmosphere and energy. Seafood sliders on a Parker House roll-how fun! My wife had lobster scrambled eggs which were perfect. Sit where you can watch the foot traffic go by outside, enjoy the creative food ands selection from the varied wine list. Only complaint is its pricy for the size of the servings--though... More
