The upper west side has many restaurants, but I think most of them are not worth my time and money. However, B Cafe is one of my favorites. I love the mussels frites and all the fish and seafood dishes. They have a nice wine selection as well. The restaurant is small and cozy and welcoming.

I love this place! The beer, mussels and frites remind me of my years spent in Belgium. Explore the beers! This is not a plaice to order a Bud. Try a Westmalle Tripple instead.

Nice small restaurant with a great variety of Belgian Beers (unfortunately I don't drink alcohol!) Restaurant is small so reservations are a must. The food was very good, although my Steak Frites could have used a better cut of beef. My other companions liked their food. Service was good, but had a bit of the typical New Yorker flair/attitude.

The starters, Bitterballen, mini beef croquettes with Dijon aioli ($8), and the Salmon pastrami over potato latkes ($15) were very tasty and enjoyable. We tried two of the signature entrees: Carbonnade Flamande traditional Belgian beef stew cooked in dark beer ($25), and mussels with garlic ($23) were fabulous. The grilled skirt steak with caramelized shallots was also very good. Superb... More

If you've watched the TV series Cheers, this is the place in NY where you can experience a very similar atmosphere. The place has its regulars, the conversations around the bar are quirky and animated, the staff seems to know almost everyone and the general feel is very "decontracte". There's something very inviting to the whole experience. I highly recommend... More

I was SO in the mood for latkes today and went looking in the Upper West Side of NYC, you'd think this would be easy right? It's holiday time... this place's latkes were not the crispy delights that I expected...they were more the shape of a crab cake. While it was golden on the outside and moist inside, I'd suggest... Moules frites and Stella Artois make a good combo at this local Belgian restaurant. It was our first visit, but we will definitely go again and recommend it to friends and family.

After doing some shoe shopping nearby I did a quick Yelp check (whoa, BIG mistake!!) on where to stop in for some "moules frites". After researching their menu online I went out of my way by several bus stops to have a quick lunch here one Sat mid-afternoon. Not peak time either, less than one-quarter of the tables were in... I had mussels with chorizo, best mussels I've ever had in the US, and a huge serving. The fries are also excellent, almost up to actual Belgian standards. Everybody in our party was very pleased indeed with the meal, the selection of beers, and the service.
