Great Restaurant for Food and View

Wonderful restaurant at Columbus Circle, 9th floor of the Museum of Arts and Design building, across from Central Park. A 10 minute cab ride from Times Square. Stunning view in this special gem of a restaurant at the top of MAD (Museum of Arts and Design) in Columbus Circle. My friend and I enjoyed excellent cocktails and delicious salads. Food and service were superb, and the setting was spectacular. Can't wait to go back to Robert!

This is a gem atop an excellent museum; the view, overlooking Central Park and Columbus Circle, is wonderful, and the meal was great. Being Sunday mid-afternoon, we had a savory soup and the six-offering cheese platter; both were extremely good, as was the selection of freshly baked rolls that preceded.

Enjoyed a good meal with an outstanding view of New York's Central Park and Columbus Circle in May. The wait staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The brunch/lunch menu has a good selection of delicious choices and live music is played on Sundays. We enjoyed a leisurely lunch and lingered more...just to enjoy the view and the music. Best to... Had Sunday brunch at Robert, luckily seated at the window and what a glorious day to enjoy the view over Colombus circle and Central Park. Both and salmon burgers, very nice indeed. Very reasonable priced menu if a little limited. Would def recommend for something a little special in NYC

Made a reservation and were seated next the window. Amazing view on Columbus circle. We both had Nichoise salad which was delicious. Relentlessly helpful staff.

Went here with a group from work. Excellent meal. I had one of the best bottles of wine that was recommended by concierge. For new York it was reasonably priced. The seafood selections were great and mussel appetizers were outstanding.

We were in NYC for our anniversary and this restaurant was recommended. It lived up to the expectations. We had a great table at the window with a view of the park. The mussels and papaya salad were amazing! The steak was delicious. The ravioli was good but not what I was anticipating. We would go back again!

We stopped into Robert (Museum of Art & Design) prior to seeing a show. We did not have a reservation, since it was a last minute choice. But we were glad we did! The wait staff was very accommodating. Although all of the tables at the windows were booked, they did their best to get a table nearby where we... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
