If you're a first time visitor to New York.. I recommend this place for a elegant night out with your significant other..! The Resturant sits below the street line, with small windows located above the bar facing the streets.. The architecture is amazing.. There is beautiful tile work, thru out the Resturant .. In the evening , the mood is... More

Ordered the chopped salad with chicken. Fresh ingredients with grilled chicken. Also ordered the lamb chops medium. They were excellent. Came with mashed potato and spinach. The rolls were fresh but could have been served warm. For dessert ordered chocolate mousse cake with vanilla ice cream. Delicious! We enjoyed our food and the pleasant atmosphere.

My friends and I arrived early after shopping one day, so the restaurant was not busy at all. We were sat in the very back. We had to ask THREE times for someone to come and wait on us. It was 15 minutes after we sat down before we ever got the first drink. We had to ask for bread.... More

We celebrated my birthday here. The location is nice. It has glass windows on all sides. It is in the NY Times building. It makes it interesting. The food was wonderful. Started with the tomatoes& mozzarella dish. The ribeye steak was cooked to perfection. The meat was tendered, juicy, and tasty. It went down well. We had the mushrooms and... More

I had a dinner with my wife. Although we arrived at the restaurant on time of the booking time, we were made to wait for 20 minutes before seated. We ordered the aged porterhouse steak for two persons and did not order the appetizer because I heard that this steak is very big and we should not order except the... More

One of my favorite restauarants, I always start with one of their cocktails. The even have blue cheese stuffed olives. Salads are fresh and tasty. But save room for steak. The steakes are delicious and generous. They are prepared exactly as requested. Make sure you order onion rings and creamed spinach. If you still have room finish your meal with... More

The bar was happening with what appeared to be after work 30-40 somethings. We sat at the bar and split just one appetizer which was enough. Food and atmosphere was good but not real warm. Overall a good experience although the dinning room looked crammed up.

Business dinner - very festive (read: loud) restaurant, but it worked fine for our group. Waiter continually tried up selling us (even brought one guy 2 beers at once). He was a little odd, but the sizzling porterhouses that we got were incredible! "Porterhouse for 2" will easily feed 4. Mushrooms and mash potatoes were tasty. The Appetizer to get... More

Excellent food, porter steak outstanding, huge portions, great service. Although we did not find it a problem- as we came with family and friends, this is NOT a romantic place. Busy, noisy etc. but really full with good energy.

We have been to the Wolfgangs on Park Ave and decided to try this one as well. We went on a Saturday night and although it was raining, it was still crowded. We ordered the porterhouse steak, the creamed spinach, german potatoes, sautéed mushrooms and the Wolfgang's salad. Everything was delicious - probably the best steak I've ever had. The... More
