Frat party

I was there to celebrate my cousins 50th birthday which was to be a special occasion. The food was above average and so was the staff but the ambience was horrific. We were sitting next to a table of 15 frat boys and it was extremely loud and obnoxious! We could not hear our conversation over their... read more

I had an excellent bar meal 2 weeks ago, enjoyed sirloin steak and a highly recommended cabernet sauvignon with an entertaining barman named Jack. Whilst the steak wasn't cheap it was cooked as I requested, only let down was the slightly hard potato.

Had a great porterhouse for 2 at Wolfgang's. I've been to the one in TriBeCa and this was just as good. Great food and great service. The steak is perfectly prepared and they have an excellent selection of wines to go with it. Will definitely be back next time I visit New York.

My. Family and I have eaten dozens of times in various Wolfgang steakhouses. So we have a basis to judge a good meal from a bad one. Tonight we ordered a porterhouse and lamb chops. While the basic meat was well aged it was poorly cooked. .we ordered the steak rare it cam e medium rare but more importantly the... More

I can't give enough praise for this particular Wolfgang's Steakhouse. My friends are in NYC Saturday night for a few things: To smoke cigars To let off steam To eat steak To fight with each other (That's a given) Now our wives and girlfriends wouldn't agree with these choices. But guess what? It's guys night out and fathers day is... More

The steaks were like half a cow and the Chilean Sea Bass sensational (but again huge). The servings are massive but the food is good, service classically New York fast and with 'attitude' and the ambiance was classically NY, NY - noisy, busy and full on.

Had lunch recently at the 54th street location. Wolfgang's is always a solid choice for steak. Always good service and a consistent meal. If you are looking on the east side of midtown, this is the right place. One complaint, how about some blue cheese olives for the martinis like your other locations 😎

Taken here by friends who live in the city - and they reckon it's one of the best. Excellent quality steak (ribeye for me) with also a small but high quality fish selection. Recommended.

Was taken here by a friend recently after cocktails next door. The cocktails were excellent and put us in a mood for good steak. This was a complete treat, from the excellent service to the absolutely sumptuous dinners we enjoyed. A bit pricy, but on the bar with other NYC steak houses, but I would say well worth it if... Our first night in New York we went to Wolfgang's as a colleague who lives and works in New York said it was the best steak ever. We were greeted by the Manager, the staff were super nice and helpful. The restaurant itself wasn't anything fancy and the menus are laminated so no feel of luxury (although the wine list... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
