Delicious cupcakes

We had Brooklyn Blackout Cupcakes and they were delicious. Not only were they expertly prepared with high-quality ingredients, they were obviously fresh. The cupcakes were moist and had a deep, rich chocolate flavor. Everything else looked amazing too!

A must for anyone in search of a sweet treat! This little shop has excellent cupcakes, far better than the more popular Magnolia. Tried the mini cupcakes which were the perfect bite! Don't miss the Brooklyn Blackout - chocolate filled with chocolate pudding, delicious!

Stopped in to pick up a couple of cupcakes. We tried the red velvet & the Brooklyn Blackout. The red velvet had a cream cheese frosting & was a perfect balance of cake/frosting. The Brooklyn Blackout, however, had a yummy filling and was spectacular. Highly recommend stopping in. Tiny place & there wasn't a line when we were there, but... More

It's a small place, there was a small line when I got there but it was SO HOT inside, which made the wait seem unbearable. I ordered a plain cheesecake and a mini cupcake (fudge sprinkles, I think it was called). The cupcake reminded me of home :( the frosting tasted just like the one my mom used to use,... More

I was a devotee of Crumbs, but since they've reopened after bankruptcy, their cupcakes are awful. After 2 tries and dry cupcakes each time, I'm over them. For Mother's Day my son gave me 4 cupcakes from the Two Little Red Hens. I shared with my husband and we've tried 2 so far--chocolate with chocolate fudge filling and chocolate peanut... More

New York cheesecake was amazing. Went back there twice in 2 days for more. Carrot cupcake is worth a mention - moist and not too sweet. The Brooklyn blackout and the peanut butter cupcakes are rich and delicious. Took a bit of hunting down as the place was slightly less conspicuous but thanks to Google maps we found this treasure.

We couldn't leave New York without tasting a New York cheesecake, and we found Two little red hens as the perfect place. Not ideally located, but when visiting the Met or Central Park it is definitely worth the visit. A small, very charming place, with delicious looking pastries. And the cheesecake was everything we wanted!

Cupcakes - out of this world. Tried 3: Red Velvet, Chocolate Fudge, and Peanut Butter. Cheesecake, mediocre (not as dense as I prefer, and crust kind of burned)

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
