Solid Hell's Kitchen Choice

Good spot in Hell's Kitchen. Burgers and Apps were good, not sure if it is worth it for the entrees. The beer is a big star. Sit in the bar, not the dining room, which tries to "over atmosphere" things.

I went for the grilled salmon and couscous and my son had a grilled chicken sandwich on focaccia bread with a basket of fries. Large selection of beers and television sets. Great brick walls hence the name. Would go back for moderately priced well prepared food.

Kevin Ungaro, the GM for the Brickyard, and his staff provided a wonderful Thanksgiving meal for us.

Met friends here for Sunday night football and final night of Mets game. Place was packed with baseball fans and people who finished the marathon. The vibe was great. The staff was kind enough to accommodate us wanting to watch the football game vs the baseball game. Food was all right. Nothing spectacular, but decent bar type food.

Not what would be classified as a gastropub in the UK but this is a really cool bar. Lively and buzzing, they've got a great selection of beers on tap. I went for the cheese burger sliders and the Mrs went for the veggie burger. It's good bar food and a lot of fun, in a slightly edgier part of... More

Get your timing right in this place and it's a fabulous, warm and welcoming pub / bar. We've targeted this for first-stop-in-town afternoon beers and wings on a couple of occasions now, and we've really appreciated the friendly service and the good beers knowledge too. BUT... trying to call back in on a weekend, we've been 'greeted' by a hostess... More

The restaurant is on 9th street between 52nd and 53rd, it's got a sports bar at the front and at the back end its got dining tables. There are simply loads of beers to choose from and it took a while to go through all of them. I ordered the turkey sandwich was actually quite average. The gastropub has a... More

What an awesome jewel in NYC near the theater district. My husband and I wanted to find a nice but casual place to have dinner and drinks before seeing Jersey Boys. We made a reservation at 5:30. The front of the restaurant opens up in the warmer months with a garage like door- so there are tables close to being... More

Good choice of beers & happy hour until 8pm, however check your bill as I was charged full price for my beers even though I ordered them well before happy hour finished. When I questioned this the server said she didn't know what time I had ordered the drink! She reduced the bill accordingly. We ordered a starter to share... More

Great pre theater brunch on Labor Day weekend. I really enjoyed the Irish breakfast sausage and puddings were excellent. Not greasy. Sunny side up eggs cook perfectly. Wish there was soda bread instead of sour dough Husband had bison burger which was excellent and a nice IPA.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
