Lovely Artichoke dip

I would start by saying I only had the artichoke dip and a glass of wine on a Friday afternoon, so not much interaction with the waiting staff. Both were fine, but I agree with reviews that it is a little pricey for the food you get. The bar itself is nice, but dark at the back like many... read more

It's a slightly up-scale pub on 9th Avenue in Manhattan. Not sure whether they call themselves a sports bar, but they have lots of screens and there's usually a game on. Food is unexpectedly good (fresh, well-prepared, moderately priced, and served promptly). Service is efficient and friendly. Lots of beers on tap as well as an extensive bottle list. Great... More

Went with BIL for a quick lunch...next thing we know it was 3 hours later! Good veggie burger and truffle fries. A little pricey but it's NYC, I guess.

We were looking for pre theatre dinner. Great menu with lovely food. Friendly staff who were happy to help and chat. Really good place to eat with teens with tasteful surroundings.

First night in NYC after long haul from Europe. The restaurant was recommended by our hotel concierge. Upon entering, it was clear that there were regular NY'ers enjoying their Friday night. We had a short wait for our table, but the staff (one of whom was a fellow Munster supporter) were very helpful in providing stools in the bar area.... More

Booked on the day, table for 4 at 9pm. It was busy when we got there and it didn't look like they had that much seating so pre-book if you can. It's quite dark gastro-pub/pub - manage your expctations :-) We ordered some drinks (ciders and lagers) and lots of food to share. We thorught it was all about the... More

We stumbled upon this place as it isn't too far from the Holiday Inn Express where we are staying. Nice atmosphere, great beer selection. Our waiter was attentive and prompt. We received our food in a timely manner, and it was hot, which I always appreciate. The best part, I must admit, was the chocolate bread pudding we ordered for... More

Visited for Sunday brunch. We were a large party and they gave us the whole back room — very spacious, comfortable, and quiet. That's where my satisfaction ends, unfortunately. The service was beyond bad. Very slow and unattentive. Also tried to charge me for food I didn't order. I don't think anyone in our party actually liked their food. Most... More

Nice dimly lit Gastropub with decent beer selection and above average bar food items. No loud music so perfect for a first date.

Visited early evening so avoided any wait for tables. Friendly service and prompt. The food turned up in 10 minutes and was excellent costing what you would expect. Would recommend to anyone.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
