nice atmosphere and a good welcoming staff. I got in late to Hilton Garden Inn across the street and was happy they would take me in for sushi at 9:45pm. Some of the sushi is a bit busy with toppings but it was all delicious.

I tried a lot of plates, suggested and not, it was all really good, very fresh, classic and fusion tasty. Just a little bit expensive

Fresh sushi and sashimi. Thinly sliced tuna with crispy breadcrumbs toppings is good for appetizer. Lobster roll is to die for. Fried ice cream for dessert. Nice atmosphere and good service. Only drawback is it is pricey.

Returned from a 2 week "food-centric" trip to Japan in early October--this fish quality was on par. Although not much by means of decor, Sushi Sen-Nin is for all true sushi and sashimi fanatics out there. A must go if you find yourself hungry in Midtown NYC. As an added bonus, prices are great given the quality!

I love sushi and eat them at least once every week. The sushi and rolls at this restaurant is unqiue as they add flavours to spice it up. I like that its different but my husband didnt fancy the extra spice. Sashimi is fresh. But if you are particular on the basic ingredients such as the rice itself, it is... More

Solid value. This place is consistent and underrated. Has to be in NYC top 15 for sushi, if not higher. Maybe a 1/2 star below Gari, but you can always get into Sen-nin and its probably slightly better value. The sushi special is very good value for $31 (9 pieces of sushi and 1/2 roll). Hits the spot. make sure... More

We had a large combination of sushi and sashimi. The fish was wonderful--fresh, melt-in-your mouth. Service was excellent, and the decor was quite attractive. We would not have known about it if we hadn't gone with a friend who eats here frequently. It's close to the CUNY Graduate Center, but there seem be few other restaurants in the area. Definitely... My favourite sushi place in NYC. Very fresh pieces of fish, inventive special rolls and lots of spicy options. Highlights are the carpaccio crunch, spicy sea bass, the special rolls (Crazy Dragon, Rainbow and Empire rolls are fantastic) and lots of standard rolls you would expect. Divine.
