We had four in our party and did the Tasting Menu. This was a great way to sample the brilliance of the kitchen. 8 courses of amazement with wines that we loved. It was a beautiful summer evening with the door/windows open. Great ambiance. Our waiter, Greg, was very patient with us while we oooh'ed and aaah'ed over the selections.... More

On a warm and breezy summer evening, there may be no better table than a seat in the open window at Marc Forgione. The ambiance is inviting and convivial, not the least bit stuffy, and the attention is firmly fixed on the food. The tables to the rear provide a very different ambiance, perhaps better suited to the chill of... More

We had a great dinner and fantastic wines - I'd definitely recommend the milk & cookies for dessert. Warm and gooey perfection. You won't regret it, even if your pocketbook might!

The food here is beyond delicious. I live in Chicago (which I feel is up there with the best of the best restaurants in this country) and so when I was in New York last week wanted to treat my mom to an upscale and highly rated restaurant (not to mention, I'm a bit of a Food Network nerd). Anyway,... More

A great local place. Casual atmosphere, wonderful service and fabulous & consistent food. I've been here on many occasions, for brunch, lunch, dinner & drinks, at different times of the year, and it's been great every time. Can't go wrong unless you don't come here at all. A must is the chili lobster.

This place was recommended to me by a server at another restaurant. First let me say the server Mark (with a K) was excellent. He recommended wines that were great and was very helpful and friendly. We were told to have the chili lobster. It was amazing. The spicey sauce it was in wanted us wanting more the next day,... More

We had a group here (7 of us) and they did a set meal that they served family style. The food and wine service could not have been better. We loved it all. They created a great selection of dishes and even accomodated one vegan. If you go, don't miss the bar and have some of the bar foods. Great... More

Marc Forgione was on site and in the kitchen. So many NYC chefs achieve fame and disappear out of the kitchen. It is refreshing to see the chef on site and not just out schmoozing with the diners, but cooking. Our food was delicious. First we received an amuse bouche of a mini everything bagel bite and whitefish salad crisp.... More

This was our second visit and yet again the restaurant delivered in spades. The service was a little hit and miss this time, but wow - how good was the food!! We absolutely indulged - Kampachi tartare avocado pine nuts saratoga chips szechuan button, Chilli lobster texas toast, black truffle veal tortellini with parmigiano, berkshire pork chop peas bacon potatoes,... A simple restaurant. Scrubbed wooden tables, plain chairs, walls adorned with cookery books and cooking artifacts. Then comes the food. Spectacular. Visually glorious and tasting out of this world. My husband's starter of Chilli Lobster he said, was one the finest dishes he had ever eaten, my main course of Black Bass was perfectly executed and was simple enough to... More
