There is a distinct difference between 'expensive' and 'over-priced'. I don't mind expensive...I live in NYC and this is the world in which I live. However, when dining at a higher-end restaurant, there is a certain level of attention to detail, quality and service that I expect. Sadly, Craft fell short. It's not that the food is bad. It's not... More

Hands down one of the best, if not the best, restaurant meals we've ever had. Service was outstanding...wine recommendations were wonderfully paired, and the presentation was beautiful. I had the braised beef short ribs, and my wife had the halibut. Both were perfectly prepared. The gnocchi melted in our mouths, and the Chocolate Souffle was to die for. The only... More

We hadn't been to Craft in several months, but having had previous good experiences, I booked it for my wife's birthday (a Thursday night). Upon entering the restaurant, they immediately made us feel at home. My wife has pretty bad food allergies which I noted on the reservation. They immediately acknowledged the allergies and reassured her throughout the meal as... More

Had the tasting menu with paired wines. Very, very nice but the other $500+ meals we've had have been slightly better. Despite that I would recommend to anyone.

While their menu is constantly updated, I've never been disappointed. Their swordfish was amazing, the bee sting is delightful and they certainly know their way around potatoes!

We made a reservation at Craft a month in advance of our trip to New York. Upon arrival at the restaurant, we were promptly shown to the worst table in the house. I would just like to know why they do that, why do they pawn off the worst table in the house thereby making you embarrass yourself by asking... More

Our concierge recommended this restaurant to us and on first impressions it was very good indeed. Nice interior; plenty of space, buzzy, great lights etc. The staff were very helpful and were really in with the ethos of the place. One bit that did turn me off was when they spoke about "the journey" from dish to dish. I am... More

Great, rich, savory food. Great ambience without any of the pretentiousness you get at many quality restaurants. And the best service I've had at a restaurant in years. Our waitress was extremely knowledgable and helpful and the food was excellent - the braised short rib, gnocchi, and bacon appetizer were all great choices. As we were walking out, already raving... Craft was an oasis one recent extremely HOT and CROWDED Saturday after walking the highline to Chelsea Market. The quality of the food was excellent. We started with fresh rolls, lightly brushed with salt on top and an amuse bouche from the chef--a taste of a chilled corn soup that had a fresh corn flavor subtly blended with a hint... More
