This was our first time at Craft. The restaurant is beautiful. The service was impeccable - absolutely outstanding, quite professional. If you are looking for a place to have a business dinner and you want simple elegance and a place conducive to conversation versus hype and high decibels this is it. Arugula salad was best I have ever had. Blue nosed bass and Amish chicken delicious and the side of trumpet mushrooms a real treat. Lovely evening .

Our fourth time here in a year and a half. Amazingly the staff greeted us by name as if we were regulars. The dining room was filled yet quiet conversation was easy. The space is impeccably clean and elegant. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable but not overbearing. And the food continues to amaze us; locally sourced, bounteous, and trendy... More

Their menu is seasonal so the food is always fresh and changing. The ingredients are so good! Their short rib is amazing! Always a great meal. Make sure you leave room for the chocolate soufflé and their home made ice creams/sorbets!

I have spent most of the last five years traveling to NYC for work. Which means I've had the opportunity to eat my way around town more than once. And I always, every time, insist on a meal at Craft. The atmosphere is comfortable and inviting. The staff is friendly and knowledgable. And the food is consistently excellent. My one... More

We dined as a party of 4 at Tom Colichio's Craft restaurant, a small storefront located on E. 19th St. just off Park Ave. Reservations were made a surprisingly 6 short days prior to our requested date. While making the reservations, the receptionist asked if there were any food allergies, which I thought was a very smart protocol. We arrived... More

This place has exceeded my expectations! The ambiance and decor is really lovely. It's classy, beautiful and peaceful, which really makes this place perfect for a special occasion. I was amazed by the service of our waiter! He was really incredible, and I don't say that very often. The menu and the food was simply amazing. Everything tasted delicious and... More

We booked Craft at the last minute. We had a really nice booth seat to the back of the retaurant. Its a typical bustling / loud Manhattan spot. Service was very good and the staff were attentive. Starters and mains were deliicous with some interesting combinations. It did feel like a work venue, not sure why...maybe the decor but it... More

I was more impressed by Craft on this occasion than when I last visited (4 years ago). The service is very good: just the right degree of attentiveness and not rushed. The food was delicious. It's not over-elaborate, but everything is well prepared. I had the venison loin with a side order of brussels sprouts and my guest had roast... More

Neighborhood Profile
Flatiron District
Offering many of the city’s best restaurants and shops set amid classic New York architecture, the Flatiron District is no longer under the tourist radar. At 23rd Street is the famous triangular Flatiron Building, which makes a good picture no matter what angle you photograph it from. Be sure to look up at the elegant architecture as you stroll the streets - much of this neighborhood is part of a historic district that was home to many of the city’s most famous department stores at the turn of the century. At the northern end of the neighborhood, Madison Square Park is best known for being home to a famous burger shack, but it can also be a quiet refuge to spend an afternoon, and it frequently hosts interesting public art exhibits. In the lower part of the Flatiron District you'll find Union Square, a bustling crossroads at all times of day and night.
