Went here one night before dinner at the Union Square Cafe. This is a great alternative to Raines Law Room (same street) if you can not get in there, or on your way to it. Also right down the street from the W Hotel in Union Square where we stayed. This place also gets pretty busy. Very classic NYC bar,... More

While this place gets crowded quick and has limited space, I really enjoyed trying out the NY-based Scotches and the food here. When I sat down, I found the staff was very attentive and willing to explain things.

Again, we found this through a listing of best whiskey bars in New York. It was fantastic, we tried their beers and the whiskey samplers. The drinks were incredible, the service discreet and the atmosphere cosy and welcoming. Our whiskey samplers were a real education as well as very welcome after a day of wandering around NYC in the cold.... More

Communal tables in a slightly noisy place. The wait-staff was knowledgeable. Variety of all types of drinks and beers.

A couple of friends and I went here for one drink because we weren't really feeling like going out after dinner. Well that one turned into four as we had a really good time there. It took a while to get seats at the bar as it was a Saturday evening, but the bartenders took very good care of us... More

Stopped by Rye House after work with a friend. The cocktails were great and there was a good crowd, but the service wasn't amazing. I'll probably be back.

Great place for anyone who loves whiskey, scotch, and bourbon with a list of over 100 different varietals. Upscale bar like atmosphere, decent bar bites although not a huge menu if you're looking for a whole meal here. Only thing missing is Pappy Van Winkle.

Have met friends here a few times - great bar scene (a little loud) but good drinks and food, and you can usually get a table in the back to sit and eat.

A group of us went for bourbon and were not at all disappointed. Their selection is extensive and appropriately-priced. The bar area was very crowded, however, and getting a seat probably would have taken over an hour. There was a standing area with a shelf for glasses between the bar area and the restaurant area, however, which served our purposes... More
