Awesome BALLS!!!

The food excellent, service is friendly and helpful. There are a lot of choices considering they only make balls. The menus are also cool, you use a sharpie to choose Your order.

Love love love this place It's a loud small bar like atmosphere so not the best setting for families with young ones. However for everyone else it's awesome. Quality inexpensive (comfort) food. Great setting and service. My third day back there (for take away) since we and especially my little one cannot get enough of their meat balls Highly recommend... More

We were looking for something different for a Birthday meal and a local New Yorker recommended The Meatball Shop. Its very small so be prepared to put your name down and wait. They will text you when your table is ready. IT IS WORTH THE WAIT! Small and cosy with great old school hip hop music playing we started confused... More

Thoroughly enjoyed the Meatball Shop. Upbeat, fun staff, loud music, tasty meatballs and a massive sugar hit in the shape of an ice cream sandwich. Not the place to linger long.

Food is incredible and the atmosphere is lovely and bubbly The barman is the perfect entertainer and extremely helpful when trying to decifer the ordering. Its really easy when you get the hang of it and I believe quite unique. We went back a few times and always had a fantastic meal. Definitely recommend the chicken meatballs and a cream... More

Definitely worth waiting in line for, the Meatball Shop is a great place to start a night out or soak up a hangover. The meatballs themselves are juicy, with a choice of meats and good specials, with excellent accompaniments, particularly the salad, and a variety of sauces. Excellent cocktails too, especially the Turbo Lebowski, which kept me up all night!

What a fun place to go. .. even out waiter was entertaining. I had the buffalo Cajun meatballs with red meat sauce which actually went great together and were a bit spicy. I tried the zucchini/tomatoes veggies which were good. Best part was the cookies for desert. .. chocolate chip and bRownie walnut!

The Meatball Shop was a pleasant suprise- mostly for the really good veggies. The meatballs were tasty and importantly, they grind the meat there, which promotes freshness. The ambience was pleasant, as was the service. All in all, a good experience for a very inexpensive place.

We sat at the bar and enjoyed the slider and smashed meatball entrees. I tried the two beef meatballs and the chicken meatball. I had three different sauces- spicy beef sauce, creamy parmesan, and pesto. We also tried two drinks- the sangria and the fool aid- both delicious if you are looking for something sweet. Prices were reasonable - $3... More

Met some friends here and enjoyed the cozy dining set up--you get meatballs here. Nothing over the top-many varieties, some healthy sides, some comfort food, and just a great experience. I send everyone here when they visit to get a feel for how New Yorkers would enjoy a meal out to catch up with friends.

Staying in Lower East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Lower East Side
Straddling the bridge between New York’s thriving immigrant past and its modern transformation into a beacon of global art and culture, the Lower East Side is one of the most dynamic neighborhoods in the city. The blocks of tenements that represented the promise and blight of the Lower East Side immigrant experience now command top dollar for new residents. Right next to old-world delis, 24-hour bodegas, and the garment shops of Orchard Street, you’ll find hip clubs, fashionable bistros, and luxury hotels beckoning at all hours of the evening. If you love nightlife and live music, it’s hard to beat the scene here.
