Staying at West Village with so many restaurants to choose I decided to visit The Meatball Shop since I heard really good things and a friend recommended it. Few blocks and we arrived to the place. Really nice location and easy to get there. The service was great from the beginning. Great atmosphere and vibe. I ordered the spicy pork... More

This is a truly fabulous addition to NYC's restaurant scene. The food is great, reasonably priced and the place is fun to go to! The meatballs are to die for, especially the spicy pork with mozzarella and tomato sauce. The polenta could be eaten by the quart, it is so good!! There are veggie "balls" as well. And they have... I consistently tell people The Meatball Shop is my favorite restaurant. I make sure to go to one of their locations without fail when I visit my family in NY, and luckily they opened a location near my mom's apartment on the Upper East Side. Their ingredients are always fresh and good quality, the concepts are simple but the flavor... More

Great concept. Great decor. Great food A low key winner. Who says you can't have a great meal in New York for less than $20 per person? I had a delicious chicken meatball sandwich and then one of their ice cream sandwiches - dynamite!

Excellent. Exactly what you want when you need comfort food: meatballs on a hero with a salad instead of fries. But unexpectedly prepared with real expertise that lifts it so beyond the realm of comfort. This food is really, really satisfying and not at all average. Nice surprise. Been passing this place for a year without being tempted to go... More

The Meatball Shop is a great place to take out-of-town guest to experience the NYC version of comfort food. It is a hip joint that does not feel trendy. The meatballs are hearty and delicious, I suggest having them on brioche with a side of polenta. The ice cream sandwiches are the perfect follow up; your choice of cookie and... More

We've been here many times since it opened & will go many more! It's a fun place to go on a date, with your buddies and also very family oriented. It caters to everyone. You check off what you want on the menu (which is fun, especially for the kids) and you get to select what type of sauce, what... More

I thoroughly enjoyed my sandwich at The Meatball Shop and will be back for more! The Parmesan cream sauce was delicious and the meatballs nice and hearty.

We popped in here for a quick bite after a movie, the custom ice cream sandwiches were fantastic. The atmosphere at the Meatball Shop was great. It looked liked a fun place for dinner and drinks, but we were just there for the ice cream. The cookies were still chewy and the ice cream flavors were very bold.

The meatball's were not anything different from what I would get out of the freezer section at the local grocery store. The sauce was interesting, but again nothing spectacular or different. The risotto was the saving grace, it was great. The worst part was the food was NOT warm enough. It was as if they forgot to bring it out... More
