The New York Luncheonette is a gem in New York!.. This place is always busy because the food is so good and reasonably priced. The service is outstanding. My family and I ate breakfast there everyday during our stay over Thanksgiving. If there is a wait, you won't wait long. This place is a nice little surprise in midtown!!!

I love eating breakfast here. Corned beef hash and the pancakes are great. Service is quick and friendly and prices are much better than your typical hotel breakfast in the area.

Visited twice over the weekend. Early on Saturday, so quieter, later on Sunday, there was a queue! Fabulous eggs & bacon, French toast & pancakes. Great coffee, super atmosphere & very efficient service. Highly recommended!

I dined at this establishment for breakfast on 1/4/2015. My travel companion and I arrived at around 9a and had no problems being seated. We arrived at an ideal time, about 30 minutes later the restaurant was packed. I ordered a lox omelette and a croissant, which was reasonably priced and very tasty. The coffee was hot and fresh. A half block from the Waldorf Astoria and convenient to many other area hotels at 50th and Lex. Great breakfasts served up very quickly and at a modest NYC price. Do not be put off by a line of waiting customers. They turn over the tables quickly with one of the fastest team of servers I have ever witnessed. Hash... More

This wonderful diner serves delicious, hot food in no time flat. My husband and I always try to stop there whenever we stay in Midtown because the breakfasts are fresh and well-prepared and the service is unbelievably fast and efficient. Don't miss it!

Great little place run by friendly staff serving good food from an extensive menu at reasonable prices. We were recommended to the place and were not disappointed. If you are located anywhere near it try the breakfasts. Waffles, ice cream, cream and strawberries were WONDERFUL. The eggs, bacon and corned beef hash were GREAT. The six of us tried a... More

A busy little place with fast service, free coffee refills, expensive menu. Great fro a quick turn around if you want to get fed quickly. Be specific about how you want your eggs cooked if you are from the UK, you might find them under done by british terms but staff are happy to oblige in how you want them... More

Had breakfast here - a very fast and good diner breakfast. The staff works hard and provides fast and friendly service. I am New York born and raised, and I really like this place. Will go there again if I am in the neighborhood.

This diner was just a couple of blocks from our hotel and made for a great spot for breakfast. We had basic fare: eggs, a waffle, and bacon. The eggs were poached perfectly and the bacon was nice and crisp, as ordered. The service was good and the price was reasonable for New York City.
