Great neighborhood diner

We have been coming here for 15 years and it's great each time. Fast service and waitstaff is kind and here to serve you. The food is consistently good from breakfast to lunch to soup etc.

Definitely an alternative to the fast food chains, with their standard (and now boring) offerings. This place feels like (and probably is) a family business. Simple, casual, grown over many years of perfecting service and menu to the demand. Establishments like this make the neighbourhood lively and diverse. Will definitely come back when again in the area.

This place had a very decent breakfast/brunch for a quite reasonable price. The bacon was really nicely done, and the waffle was neither soggy nor bland—which is rare! The eggs weren't the most flavourful, but I'm not sure if that's really their fault. Don't come here if you want a leisurely stay—when I ate there the place was packed and... More

I was not impressed. It was a descent place for the atmosphere, but there omlette I had (the Californian) was quite dry, the hash browns like mush, and the coffee too weak. Everything was just OK, yet the prices were higher than many other local options with that have better food.

It is really just what its name implies. Quick and very average food. Omelette was not tasty to me. Members of my party enjoyed theirs. I would only go there for something very light and not substantial.

Located a few doors down from The Benjamin, the NY Luncheonette was a friendly stop for reasonably priced, well prepared food. My teenager strongly endorses their homemade milkshakes.

We had a business meeting and they service quick and the breakfast was fantastic. Only downside is lunch doesn't start until 12pm and 11am the only option was breakfast.

While there was only milk on the table, we did enjoy the bottomless cup of coffee with breakfast. The bacon was very crispy. And the French toast was very good. Eggs were almost perfection for over easy. Quite reasonable - 3 ppl 40$.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
