Read the reviews and was expecting it to be good. Very very slow service. Barbecued pulled chicken sandwich had bones in it, french fries were cold, Salmon and eggs was not as described had to ask for what was listed on the menu. Adjoining table mentioned their displeasure also.

My husband and I love the Brooklyn Diner, but it is wasted on my two boys. The food here is delicious. Top notch. We went at a busy lunch time in early November and were lucky to get a seat without waiting( but we were all the way in the back by the restrooms). Go a little off peak time... More

This place was recommended by our hotel concierge and we both really liked it. It is located right off Times Square but it not a tourist trap. The prices are in line and the food is very good, as is the service. It gets busy but they have a great system of getting people through without making you feel rushed.... More

Great menu and quality, but the one that makes me keep coming back is their strawberry cheesecake. Expensive at around $15 a slice, but their version is probably my favorite in NYC.

Our hotel was really close to the Brooklyn Diner, so, naturally, we dined there on several occasions. Excellent service, yummy food...reasonable priced for this location!

Skip the meal and jump right to desserts. Cheesecake, chocolate cake, key lime pie and chocolate sundae......wow!

Great atmosphere, obviously really popular with locals and tourists alike. Always busy but they always fit you in. The food is great, the service is amazing! Defo recommend if you want a real 'diner' experience.

The Brooklyn Diner on its face doesn't look like it can compete with te other NYC restaurants in the Times Squsre area. For over a year I always walked past it daily and never tried. Finally, some friends and I stopped in to eat. The be to the point, it is some of the best non-pomp and circumstance comfort food.... More

I've eaten here twice- and each time has been a gastronomic delight. The food is really awesome, and the portions are huge. Don't worry though- they make great left-overs! A must go to in NYC!
