Great food & service

Stopped in after the theatre. Had a Reuben & spaghetti and meatballs. Was on the expensive side, but delicious. Service was good too. The spaghetti was a third choice - tried to order two other items and they were out of both - hence the four star rating.

The night we were there, a new menu had just been rolled out. The waiter was totally unaware, and the item we ordered was not available until two days later! He did not even acknowledge the fact until we told him that what we received was not what we had ordered and did not want to pay the price for... More

Seated quickly and server came to take my order for coffee and ice water as I was waiting to meet a business colleague there. Unlike Tony's Dinapoli 2 doors down, this was very pricey fare. We ended up ordering bagels and coffee and a diet soda for just under $20. It was clean and service was good.

Just off Time Square, The Brooklyn Diner has a classic diner feel, and a good menu for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. As you enter, you can't help but notice the cheesecakes on display near to door. Service was a little slow when we visited, with coffee taking a little while to arrive, but the food was out quickly after ordering.... More

One of my co-workers and I went in search of the perfect meal from the myriad offerings of NYC. As soon as I saw the word "diner" I was in. This was more of a supper club atmosphere, with mirrors and curvilinear set-up. There was a delightful young woman at the door who we could hear singing on occasion: she... More

Avoiding the lavish hotel brunch we headed for this Diner which we had noted the night before. Although not really a Diner it offered an attractive brunch menu - We tried the Tony Bennett special ( both in price and quantity). It was delicious if a little excessive - we did not need to eat much else that day. Service was... More

We went into the diner on a recommendation. After being seated and noticing that the price for breakfast was going to be outrageous we justified it by the location to Broadway. We sat for over 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged that we were there. The waitress finally came and took our order. We waited another 10 minutes hoping to... More

Well, I'm not sure to call it a classic diner anymore as its fancy clean and always full of people and not cheap as a diner, but I try to do at last 2 stops each time I go to NY. Great menu, great food...

This is not a typical diner. The atmosphere nor pricing. It is lovely inside. We split their signature French toast. Think it's called tony Bennett. It was 18.00. But olentky for two people. It was the best ever. So if you are looking for a lovely breakfast place. This is it. It's not! A diner in the common terms.

My friends and I visited this diner in the Times Square area on the recommendation of our hotel. We were looking for a breakfast diner and while the restaurant was nicely decorated, the food was terrible. Our toast was thin and dry...the only toast I've ever had where I can easily say it tasted like cardboard. We all ordered an... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
