Enjoyable breakfast

Staying at the Casablanca Hotel just a few paces away, we decided to have a good breakfast one morning. Eggs Benedict and pancakes with juices, coffee and water. Attentive service. No problem recommending this to get the day off to a good start.

Feel free to pass this by...25 bucks for a breakfast where they forgot to cook the eggs? 28 bucks for a pastrami ruben? If you like these numbers....go ahead.

The food was decent and well prepared and presented. However, if you want to spend $20.00 on a sandwich then put some serious meat on it. I had the pastrami on rye. It was good but not made of gold. I have visited several NYC dinners and delis and usually when you pay a ridiculous price for a sandwich, the... More

Not the cheapest of places to eat, but the food was amazing. Service was really good. The blueberry pancakes are a must!

The doorman at our hotel recommended this nice diner for breakfast, and he was right. We were a family of four with all the differences that makes concerning choice of breakfast. The Brooklyn Diner catered for all our individual needs with great attention to service and the interior is just very nice. Will certainly come again.

Try the chocolate chip pancakes, they are delicious. The place does not look like much on the outside but it is a treat on the inside. Sunken dining area, linen table covers and napkins, an excellent menu (for all meals). Their breakfast includes fried polenta which is exquisite. The fresh squeezed orange juice is also tasty! Wait staff is courteous,... More

Excellent diner ; can't remember the name of the item that was similar to a bread pudding, but it was superb. All of the people in our party, who are finicky eaters, chose something different and everyone was greatly pleased. My husband wanted to eat there the next day again.

Very nice decor and staff. The menu was extensive and the "classic" omelet I had was great. The staff were quick and friendly and the place was quiet.

We have just been to the Brooklyn Dinet and had such a lovely meal that I had to join TripAdvisor just to rate! The staff were the nicest we have met in New York, the food was delicious and to top it all off was very reasonably priced. If you are looking for some great food just off Times Square... More

Not cheap, but very good! The food taste excellent, the staff are friendly and very professional. Its more like an ordinary restaurant (white table cloths) than a traditional diner and food is typical "american diner style" but its high qualit all through! T

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
