Consistently awarded four stars by the New York Times and three Michelin stars, Jean-Georges presents exquisitely crafted dishes blending French, American, and Asian influences. The local farmer’s market is the driving force behind the seasonal, ever-changing menu. Chef Jean-Georges is a master at maintaining the essence of ingredients while using them inventively to produce the best flavor. Jean-Georges’ chic and intimate dining room was redesigned by Thomas Juul-Hansen, with striking lighting by L’Observatoire. Impeccable service, tableside preparations, and floor-to-ceiling windows with stunning views of Central Park and Columbus Circle all contribute to an unforgettable dining experience. Jean-Georges offers a three-course prix-fixe menu and two six-course tasting menus: a traditional tasting of the chef’s signature dishes, and a seasonal tasting featuring fresh market ingredients. The prix-fixe and tasting menus are available Monday through Sunday for dinner. The restaurant also offers a two-course lunch menu for a terrific value. Gentleman are required to wear a jacket. No jeans, sweatshirts or sneakers allowed. Tie is not required.

This is an attractive dining room but we were placed in a side booth so could not really appreciate the room. Snooty staff, poor spacing between tables, overcrowded,dining room way too hot (but don't you DARE remove your jacket sir) no refinement to the food. Can't see how this is maintaining 3 stars.

Friends told us about the two plate lunch for $38. We told our friends that it may have been the best meal we ever had. The service was friendly not snooty. The setting and decor are beautiful. The fresh bread and appetizers were amazing. Then we had to try dessert - wow! Highly recommend.

A meal for four rarely means everyone is satisfied with everything ... we were. We were looked after by Amy who gave us excellent above on our food choices as well as the wines. The food was stunning, both to look at and to eat. A wonderful place for a special occasion.
