Jean-Georges opened in 1997 to critical acclaim. The jewel of Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s empire, the restaurant offers the very best in fine dining. Consistently awarded four stars by the New York Times and three Michelin stars, Jean-Georges presents exquisitely crafted dishes blending French, American, and Asian influences. The local farmer’s market is the driving force behind the seasonal, ever-changing menu. Chef Jean-Georges is a master at maintaining the essence of ingredients while using them inventively to produce the best flavor. Jean-Georges’ chic and intimate dining room was redesigned by Thomas Juul-Hansen, with striking lighting by L’Observatoire. Impeccable service, tableside preparations, and floor-to-ceiling windows with stunning views of Central Park and Columbus Circle all contribute to an unforgettable dining experience. Jean-Georges offers a three-course prix-fixe menu and two six-course tasting menus: a traditional tasting of the chef’s signature dishes, and a seasonal tasting featuring fresh market ingredients. The prix-fixe and tasting menus are available Monday through Sunday for dinner. The restaurant also offers a two-course lunch menu for a terrific value. Gentleman are required to wear a jacket. No jeans, sweatshirts or sneakers allowed. Tie is not required.

One of the best deal, went to lunch 2 course at $48. All 3 of us raked as one of the top lunch experience we had ever. You must go there. Plan to go for dinner next time.

My husband and I visited this restaurant for an early anniversary dinner. Our first experience at a 3 Michelin star restaurant. We also had theater tickets later so we informed our waitress and chose the three course menu. They had us out in plenty of time without feeling rushed. The setting is lovely, spare decor but nice windows and view. The service was excellent but somewhat... The food was great and so was service. We went @ lunch time (costed us ~$120 per for 3 servings & a drink) and were impressed with food, presentation and taste. The price is high but I would go for lunch again and might for a dinner too, especially if they had a way to lower noise levels. Didn't much... More

The food was delicious and inventive - from the amuse bouche to the petit fours. Lots of nice touches - they boxed a complimentary dessert they brought us to celebrate a special occasion and you collect it when you leave vs it sitting on your table. Service impeccable. Elegant dining room. My one gripe is the wine list as it... More

Impeccable hospitality and gorgeous dining room with a beautiful view. But the show stopper is the food. The flavors flicker and morph in your mouth. It would be spooky if your mind wasn't being melted in the process. If you are lucky enough to have your pick you should put this atop the list in NYC/United States.

It was a fantastic experience having lunch at Jean Georges. It is almost impossible to describe in human words a heaven meal. As many stars Michelin have, they really should give this restaurant. Every time I return to NY I will go there again. Extremely well cared menu, nice wine list, and awesome desserts, along with pretty warm athmosphere and... More

For being one of the best restaurants in NYC, considering it has 3 michelin starts the price of the pre fix menu compared to other restaurants the same level is great! The tuna appetizer is beyond delicious of course one of Jean Georges specialities which you can't miss. The overall food and service was amazing!
