After a busy day in the city, we yearned for a cosy, pleasant dining experience. So we asked a NYC bus driver to drop us where he thought we'd find great food with little trouble. "14th Street stop!" he said, and dropped us there. "Anywhere here," he says, with a wave of his hand. And he was right. We saw... More

Good food, service, wine, and value. Very tasty and the staff made us very comfortable. Nice spot after a day of walking.

We had a party of four, and ate late. While we were reading the menu, the waitress was loudly telling the spruiker to "close the door!! No more people!", as I have worked in hospitality for 15 years and know what it's like when you want the night to end! We ordered (they didn't have what we wanted, we changed... More

We had a prix fix lunch late in the afternoon. Sat upstairs on the deck in the sun which was pleasant. The food was great for the price. The best were the burgers - nice thick meat patty cooked to perfection. Our waitress could have been more communicative and friendly. The coffee was very poor. One was sent back. Do... More

Visited this excellent restaurant with my wife on our first ever visit to New York. The two young girls on the outside were so pleasant we would have been rude not to come in. Wow the service was first class. the red wine strong and wonderful and then there was the food. This was our best meal in the whole... More

We were going to the theatre on Barrow Street in Greenwich Village and were looking for an Italian restaurant nearby. We found one less than one block away from the theatre. Zucca Trattoria is not a fancy place, but the menu was diverse, and the wine list is pretty good. The service was excellent. We told them we had less... More

We happened upon this restaurant along with some others and finally decided on it. We were very pleasantly surprised! I ordered the pan seared tilapia with a sauce on top that was delicious! I wasn't very hungry but couldn't stop eating it! Also, they had on the side, some chunks of roasted potatoes that were perfection. The service wasn't the... More

My partner and I chose Zucca to spend a special anniversary meal together. The food was not extraordinary, just average to good. However our server Miguel was very attentive and friendly and made the occasion amazing. We were shocked at the price $42.00 for a pitcher of Sangria, but we know that we were in NYC so we just made... More

My friend who worked as a bartender was fired bc he would not refill liquor bottles with cheap stuff. Wine, tequila, vodka...it's immoral an illegal. and you're paying for it.
