Small, intimate place. Run by real Italians, which shows up in the food. The place isn't particularly flashy - I feel as if many people probably pass it by, but inside past the bar it's nice and cozy with brick walls and little Italian signs here and there. Cute place and the prices are fair and the food is really good. Of note is the brick oven pizza -The service is very friendly and generally pretty snappy. The Backyard is now open. Buon Appetito !

Warm atmosphere, average food

Recommended by a friend who had eaten here before, I was eager for the meal as I've never had a bad Italian meal in any of my travels to NYC. This was the first truly average meal I've ever had. Small, but well worth the wait. It's a true authentic Italian restaurant with freshly prepared, fantastic meals. Good selection of drinks/bar. Tricky little spiral stair to get down to the rest room! Call ahead for reservations to avoid a wait. Resonably priced.

Great food .... Nice people , quick service. Liked the menu and food was delicious. No complaints. Great linguini and clams. Shrimp ravioli in a brandied rosa cream sauce. These were fabulous!

We had great reviews of the restaurant before and we wen't with high expectations. We did not start right since we were seated 40 minutes after our reservation time. The decor is not great, most tables are tight but at the end we care more about food than the decor. Food was really good. As appetizer the panchetta and the... More

This little place on the edge of the garment center is cute and the owners have tried to create a nice ambiance. But, one would expect better versions of Roman dishes being that the owner is from Rome which we guess proves that even Rome has average food. Nothing was bad.....just average. The wait staff was friendly and attentive but... More

I'm in NYC once a month on business, which means I'm also on a budget and in NYC, that's a challenge when it comes to restaurants. Carbone is definitely the place to try - even if your not on the corporate dime. It's small but very inviting. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The chef looks like an Italian... More

Read the positive reviews on Trip Advisor so thought we'd give this a try however was disappointed. Service was bad, had to ask 3 times for a coke and still didn't get it. Realised after we left we got charged $14 for the $8 soup of the day and the general feel of the restaurant was depressing. Would not recommend.

Nice place with great service. The food is good, the wine list expensive. Great for special occasions . Some dishes like the cesar salad are outstanding others like the veal parmigano average.

The owner is very attentive and the sauce is outstanding. We stumbled on to this place one evening and the service and food was outstanding. It is a very small place and you feel like you are in Italy. The stuffed pepper first course was simply the best and we split it three ways. The tomato sauce was great. The... More

Great Italian in NYC is abundant but this is a +1 on the scale. We had three of their signature dishes and one appetizer recommended by our table captain and each was outstanding. The Carpaccio ap was great. The three mains were 1) Lobster ravioli, 2) Spicy Rigatoni Vodka 3) Veal parm...the place is expensive and wines less than $75... More

Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
