Description: Small, intimate place. Run by real Italians, which shows up in the food. The place isn't particularly flashy - I feel as if many people probably pass it by, but inside past the bar it's nice and cozy with brick walls and little Italian signs here and there. Cute place and the prices are fair and the food is really good. Of note is the brick oven pizza -The service is very friendly and generally pretty snappy. The Backyard is now open. Buon Appetito !

I ordered the Lasagne for delivery to my hotel room. It was alright, but just an average meal. I opted not to eat there again during my trip.

There are TWO Carbone restaurants in NYC. Seems some reviewers might have confused the two. Last night 6 of us had a good dinner at the little place on W. 38th St (NOT the one in the Village). Very intimate setting -- maybe 6-8 tables? Small bar. We all agreed our food was excellent, service was earnest if a bit... More

I try hard to find great places to eat . I am all about the service, food, and atmosphere. Carbone ranks #1 on all three for italian food, if you can get a reservation. If you can get one, go, it will make you work even harder next time, because you will want to go back. Can't wait to get... More

Was expensive, food not so great and very very small plates. Felt like I threw money down the toilet.

The casual atmosphere and the extremely loud noise level make this restaurant difficult to enjoy. The attitude of the wait staff left much to be desired. We had a table of 8 and though we had anticipated dining here very much, the consensus was that it was pricey and not a good bang for the buck.

I've been in Carbone Restaurant last week and finally I get a real test of Italy. The food was amazing and the service very good. Me and my wife with our friend we was in the patio and we get a very nice experience.

A friend who came up to join me in New York had seen a talk show which talked about a restaurant in New York called Carbone. Little did he know there were two of them. This one is a dirty little dive in Hell's Kitchen, and this is where we ended up having dinner the first night we went out... More

This review is nothing more than an attempt to slander me and my restaurant reputation to hurt my business. This reviewer did not bring her concern to my attention while in my place. Instead she decided to slander me in an open forum to damage my business by suggesting it is dirty. I take great pride in my food and... More

Everything we ordered was no Good. The soup of the day was salty The meatballs had to have been frozen. Bad taste and bad smell. Will never return. The only good part was the waitress Sass. I just hope I don't get sick tonight.
