Twirl Swirl

I found out about this bar as I was searching for Karlie's Kookies, the collaboration between Karlie Kloss (the Victoria Secret Supermodel & Taylor Swift's Best Friend) and the chef in Momofuku Milkbar. I love the Perfect 10 Kookie! The cereal twirl is recommendation from travel bloggers. I tried... read more

C and I wanted to visit Momofuku Milk Bar to experience the Crack Pie, Compost Cookie, and Cereal Milk soft serve after seeing it on Unique Sweets on the Cooking Channel. I was so excited only to ultimately be pretty let down. First of all, the place is super hard to find (but it's Manhattan, so everything is in some... More

The cereal milk ice cream is such a strange but cool and tasty experience! I would definitely recommend at least getting a free sample (one per customer). The cookies are overpriced and the compost cookie is overrated as it is nothing special. My daughter and I both got cereal milk sundaes with chocolate sauce and cereal flakes on top, which... More

David Chang is a brand name in the foodie world. His New York restaurants ---Ma Peche, Ssam Bar, new Chicken, and Noodle Bars -- are foodie stars in a food crazed city. This small retail store is a cookie, cake, and milk place. The cookies are highly prized and yummy. We like the confetti cake, chocolate marshmallow, and the truffle... More

This place is all hype. First I think it is a rip off to give someone a small bowl of ice cream that tastes like what's left on the bottom of a cereal bowl. In most cases kids throw the stuff out or gag on it. This place gets raves for making ice cream out of it which I thought... More

The desserts here are unreal! Whether you're eating a compost cookie or cereal milk soft serve, your taste buds are going to go crazy. Everything is so delicious!

My travel-companion hated it, but I was in love. AND they had corn flakes in a cookie?? Shut up. I bought my weight in baked items to go and stashed them for a later time. Oh how happy I was when I came upon some forgotten chocolate malt cake balls. They ended up being the best thing I'd bought!!

I went down to Milk Bar because I had to try the Cereal Milk Ice Cream. I caught it on my way downtown, and went in. Very small place, but they have exactly what you need. As for the ice cream...it is EXPENSIVE...don't get me wrong. I LOVED IT. It was not what I would be expecting, it is actually... More

We made a special trip on a rainy Saturday night and could barely squeeze into the tiny space. I can't imagine what a sunny day is like. No matter. We ordered the "Greatest Hits" which consists of a compost cookie - delicious, crack pie - good but I don't get it, birthday truffles - also good but nothing special and... More

I had the dulche de leche truffles and it was regular. My friends love their crack pie. If you are a sweet tooth, you probably gonna like it. They are famous and their stuff have quality. But it's not a must go, the city offers more interesting things.

Staying in East Village

Neighborhood Profile
East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village, which offers plenty of unique small businesses catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the old-time neighborhood feel that you can still experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to wander up and down the streets searching for the newest hip spot, or an old-school favorite. In the center of the neighborhood, Tompkins Square Park serves as a gathering point for the New Yorkers that call the East Village home. The people-watching here is hard to beat.
