Crack Pie!

I love sugar and all other forms of sweetness, and the Crack Pie here just tops my list of food to die for.

Everyone told me to stop here for some Crack Pie or milk and cookies. Sure, it satisfied my sweet tooth, but I may as well have spent the money on a bag of sugar. There's nothing unique to the flavoring. Not worth the hype, the money, or the cavity. Especially not worth the push line and service that accompanies any... More

This place is cool but a little uncomfortable. Great cookies and milk but terrible coffee. There is a bar but if you don't want drinks you end up in the lobby of the hotel next door.

The queue was long so we went for a drink across the street and returned later. Rosemary flavoured ice cream was yummy and we brought home the compost cookie for breakfast and it was scrumptious

You have to smile after taking a sip of Christina Tosi's "cereal milk." It's exactly what it sounds like: cereal steeped with corn flakes. The simplicity and familiarity of the drink make it quite appealing. Corn cookies are a sweet, buttery soulmate to any of the dairy treats on the menu. Compost cookies, though dry, are also pleasing to the... More

We came back a couple times during our visit for their iced coffee with cereal milk. SO GOOD! We loved everything we tried too. It can be easy to miss the door and sign, but there's an upstairs space too if you want to sit down and eat. We headed up there while waiting for our breakfast foods to be... More

I’m surprised by the interior. It’s much more crammed, tiny kitchen than anything else. Having just been at Momofuku Noodle Bar, I was expecting clean, inviting modern interior. I tried the crack pie. The description tempered my expectations. It didn’t sound like anything I would be addicted to. It was excellent which proves the use of butter really helps. How... More

Great unique flavour for an ice cream, can definitely taste the cereal part. They added cornflake crunch to the outside of the ice cream and the bottom of the cup and that makes the ice cream a winner. After a while the ice cream starts to taste like Vanilla ice cream. My friend got the crack pie and he also... More

Neighborhood Profile
East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village, which offers plenty of unique small businesses catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the old-time neighborhood feel that you can still experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to wander up and down the streets searching for the newest hip spot, or an old-school favorite. In the center of the neighborhood, Tompkins Square Park serves as a gathering point for the New Yorkers that call the East Village home. The people-watching here is hard to beat.
