Chocolate Malt truffles were dellicious!

A tiny shop that we had to stand in line outside while waiting to get in to order. I am not a fan of the cereal milk soft serve with cereal on top, though it does taste just like its' name sake. I prefer the Chocolate malt cake truffles.... so much that I plan to attend one of Momofuku Milk... read more

Sometimes you just want soft serve, and that's really the saving grace of Momofuku Milk Bar. They make a mean soft serve, although in very limited flavors. The other desserts are also good (the crack pie in particular), although not incredible. However, with incredible ice cream like Davey's a few blocks away, and other better dessert options like the babka... More

I was insanely disappointed with our visit to Momofuku Milk Bar. The staff was less than welcoming and seemed impatient when we didn't know what we wanted. For $5+ we received a small (dixie sized) cup with ice cream topped with mini chocolate chips. The ice cream tasted sour, more like the worst frozen yogurt I've ever tasted, and was... More

After having a friend rave about the cereal milk soft serve with cornflake crunchies I decided to give it a try. The ice cream was a bit icy rather than creamy and the flavor was a bit bit more sour than sweet. If you love cornflakes and semi sour milk, then you'll love this, but it just wasn't for me.

The cereal milk soft serve with fudge sauce and crispy flakes was good, but failed to create the awe I expected it would. It's a tiny shop that is easy to miss, and it has some character, but desserts were a bit overpriced.

I went because I'd heard about the crack pie and the kitchen sink cookies. I have a serious sweet tooth and those two items were great! There wasn't a line and it was quick and friendly service. Crack pie was very good, but I'm not as addicted to those as I was the soft and crunchy cookies.

We are now dreaming of cereal milk ice cream with corn flake crunchies. It's that good. Momofuku serves a limited selection of Milk bar desserts but it's also fun to walk over and see it for yourself. These new flavors and toppings are brilliant.

I found out about this bar as I was searching for Karlie's Kookies, the collaboration between Karlie Kloss (the Victoria Secret Supermodel & Taylor Swift's Best Friend) and the chef in Momofuku Milkbar. I love the Perfect 10 Kookie! The cereal twirl is recommendation from travel bloggers. I tried and it was not bad especially licking it while walking in... More

C and I wanted to visit Momofuku Milk Bar to experience the Crack Pie, Compost Cookie, and Cereal Milk soft serve after seeing it on Unique Sweets on the Cooking Channel. I was so excited only to ultimately be pretty let down. First of all, the place is super hard to find (but it's Manhattan, so everything is in some... More

The cereal milk ice cream is such a strange but cool and tasty experience! I would definitely recommend at least getting a free sample (one per customer). The cookies are overpriced and the compost cookie is overrated as it is nothing special. My daughter and I both got cereal milk sundaes with chocolate sauce and cereal flakes on top, which... More

Staying in East Village

Neighborhood Profile
East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village, which offers plenty of unique small businesses catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the old-time neighborhood feel that you can still experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to wander up and down the streets searching for the newest hip spot, or an old-school favorite. In the center of the neighborhood, Tompkins Square Park serves as a gathering point for the New Yorkers that call the East Village home. The people-watching here is hard to beat.
