Good pub

Visited on our first night as just down the road from the Row hotel, turn left and keep walking. Got a table immediately and served almost immediately after. Just had to order the Manchester burger! The beer (miller lite) always tastes better on holiday. It was also nice to get out of the cold... read more

Regular pub on 8th, right place for pub food, sports on screen and good beers. Don't expect nothing unusual or special or original but only solid good pub food with a high percentage of fried dishes Few beers on tap, noisy enough, staff is smiling and friendly, unfortunately price is really Manhattan style: for a nachos plate plus two beers... I went here after a Knicks game for a nightcap. My scotch and soda was huge, stiff, and cheap! Great value in midtown. My braised shirt rib sandwich was phenomenal! I would go back again for sure. My cousin had the penne pasta special and gave it two thumbs up!

This was my third visit and the Houndstooth never disappoints, there is plenty of space when they open up downstairs and it's great for a business dinner. They have a good choice of beer which includes many of the usual brands as well as some specials.

Stopped by for lunch and sat at the bar. Service was friendly and fast and the food - Bangers and Mash - was good but not exceptional. Tried going back for dinner and was not able to get in, as it was packed. All in all a nice place for a bite at lunch.

Pub looked great but the food was very disappointing! Frozen reheated mass produced food would be my guess. Might be an OK bar for a drink but don't bother wasting money on ordering a meal.

was close to hotel & went on staff recommendation. I had blackened swordfish & it was more burnt than blackened. There is a difference! Drinks were STRONG!

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
