A nice pub with nice people

We were welcomed warmly into this British pub. Had a nice selection of draft beers which tasted very fresh. We had appetizers which were decent value and delicious. Chicken tenders were a bit dry. I used to like this place. Don't believe the website. The brunch menu has changed and they haven't updated the website. Gone are French toast, pancakes, and the Irish breakfast (which is what we went for). Gone is the complimentary mimosa or bloody mary. It's now $10 and the price of the meal has NOT gone down. Only the quality.... More

Good pub food in a location close to Madison Square Garden. Atmosphere fun and beer selection good. Try the chicken pot pie. Puff pastry is special. Also, good espresso for a New York pub. Worth a visit.

3 generations of family met there Saturday night. Service was great. Didn't try the food but from what I could see and smell going to the surrounding tables it was good. One in our party had suggested this place since his gang ate there before a college b-ball game at the garden 6 blocks away. Wide aisle, lots of tables.... More

Had the french onion soup, kale salad, and the duck salad. Outstanding food, great service. Very fun, casual, atmosphere, if I lived in New york, it would be the place everyone knows your name.

Not overly expensive and still get a great meal. My husband and I also ordered a bottle of wine and the bill was relatively reasonable for NYC

A friend and I came across this place while waiting to check into our hotel. It was probably a bit before lunch time when we were there so it wasn't very busy and we were seated immediately. Our food was brought out quickly and it was tasty. Our favorite bit was the fresh mozzarella on my friend's Manchester sandwich. It... More

We were delighted to find a pub still serving food after a three hour travel delay. Near our hotel, Houndstooth was an obvious choice for very hungry travelers. Our server was bright and cheery. The hamburger was served almost like tartare. Not too problematic as the beef is grain fed and organic so it tasted delicious. Careful about drink pricing.... More

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
