4 of use ventured in to NYC for the day - on the way to a taping of the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon (i'll be reviewing that next) and stumbled upon the Houndstooth. Wow - it was amazing from the decor to the service - it was great. i had a chicken in creamy yummy sauce with mushroom that... More

This was the first time I had ever eaten here. I needed a location between Penn Station and Grand Central Station. It was a business lunch and it's a bit closer to Penn. had the prix fixe lunch which includes a carving board sandwich and a salad. I had the roast turkey, which was fabulous and ditto for the garden... More

Best sweet potato fries ever! The food is excellent quality and reasonably priced. Popular spot for young people. Big bar scene but not too noisy.

Food was excellent- try the braised short rib sandwich! Very reasonably priced as well! Great atmosphere and location for our first night in NY.

Very friendly staff and crowd in really nice surroundings. The beer is well priced and the menu is good, reasonably priced and food very tasty. Really nice, relaxed bar in the middle of Manhattan. Definitely worth a stop.

Stopped in for drinks in the afternoon. Very nice setting and location. Was not overly crowded and noisy. Beer was cold and service was great.

We have our annual holiday office party at the Houndstooth. The prices for food and drink are extremely reasonable for NYC. The atmosphere is nice and the menu offers a wide variety of food choices from salads to sandwiches and more. We are fortunate to have a place that can accommodate a large group and doesn't break the bank. It's... More

I was pleasantly surprised by how lovely and spacious this pub was... very good staff, aimed to please. Nice menu, good prices. We stuck to sandwich, soup, salad...so can't vouch for the entrees. As many people looked like tourists as locals who frequent the joint. We liked it, and would go back for sure.

A surprise in NYC…a really spacious pub with high ceilings, and plenty of elbow room...and great food too! The service was really accommodating, nice and quick but they did not rush us at all. Shared the chili as an appetizer and it was terrific. Then shared the ribs as an entree and it was also very tasty. My son had... More

My first time at a gastropub. Food was average but the pub was bustling. Escargot were good but the sauce for me was too sweet. Used to a garlic sauce so found this not great. Then ribs which were good. No dessert. Had a Guiness with dinner. Very popular place but not sure I would return
