Nice pub for late night snack

My wife and I got into the city late, needed something close to our hotel so we tried it, food was very good, typical bar, but a cut above. Service was fast and very pleasant. Would definitely go back.

My wife and i tried to visit this Pub, in March for drinks and a snack. She had been here before and had a great experience. I have to say it took me a while to write this review, because usually i don't feel the need for bad reviews. We arrived at the door of the pub and the bouncer... More

The drinks were standard, however staff very unplesant when we did not wish to pay 18 percent gratuity for poor service at the bar. We were threathened that the police would be called if we did not pay! I had heard that New York setvice could be different, but this ...

We wanted a low-key spot w/good, filling food before departing the Big Apple. They opened at noon and we were literally the first ones through the door. We were certainly not in a rush, but it seems like when you open your doors you should be ready to welcome guests. The staff, however, seemed a little behind on their opening... More

By accident we found this place while walking on a very cold day in the city. Both of us had old noses and ears so we ducked into the Houndstooth because it advertises "Comfort Food" - why not, right? Turns out this place is a great bar and has good food at the bar of tables. Not too big, maybe... More

Been here twice and both times food was good and reasonably priced, and service was fast and friendly. Good vibe.

This was an accidental find as we were walking to a different destination. It has a classy look. There was no wait on a Saturday early evening - I don't know if that is typical. My soup & salad were very tasty. My husband really enjoyed his dinner, which was one of the daily specials. My chocolate martini was delicious,... More

I wanted a quick lunch that had a decent price and wasn't fast food, and this place did fine for that. I was able to get in and out pretty quickly and had a good portion of food for what I paid. The food was nothing out of the ordinary, but it seems that's more common that not when you... More

Three of us went here for dinner before going to the theater. We were seated at a table in the basement and on the cold January night, it was a nice cozy spot. Our drinks were brought quickly and our server was attentive. My Goat Cheese Fritter salad was huge and very good! The fritters were melt-in-your-mouth! My friends had... More

Just across the road from our hotel. Just called in for a drink. Great choice if drinks for all of us at a reasonable price. Good service, great atmosphere!

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
