Long wait times but good pizza

Had to queue outside in the cold for a table as this place is tiny. Worth the wait though, enjoyed the pizza which was full of fresh ingredients. One criticism though, who serves red wine in a tumbler!!

I come here at least once per month. It is lovely, so romantic! The pizza here is just amazing, it reminds me home, Italy. I recommend this place to everyone, prices are not too high !

Pizza is a big staple of NY cuisine. You can find it everywhere but it is not that easy to find a decent slice. it is often coated with too much cheap mozzarella, too thick or just bland. At Motorino the pizzas were thin and really tasty, cooked well, and had interesting flavors. I had never heard of brussels sprout... More

Went to the Motorino restaurant in Manhattan for a earlier dinner. No issue getting a table which I can imagine is a challenge at other times given the small number of tables. We ordered two pizzas (one was brussels sprouts). The pizzas came reasonably quickly. The pizzas were ok at best. The issue was the flavor (muted at best). The... More

We shared several pizzas that were some of the best we have had. The gentleman who greeted us was delightful & hapoy to have us there. Service was superb & he made sure we were happy. Do not miss Motirino!

We were very excited to try it based on friends/reviews so we went last Saturday night. Staff were very friendly, great service. The wine was good, and the meatball appetizer was also very good. The pizza was very disappointing. Small, essentially individual pizzas, and it was a little soggy with a lot of different flavors going on that didn't really... More

This place has two locations, one in the East Village and the other in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Their pizzas was great, had many choices and you can make your own pizza. Their meatballs was fantastic (or at least I assume so since my daughter ate them all and didn't offer me a bite) The roasted cauliflower was great as well. Totally... More

I am from LA, so our pizzas are very different than NY's. I went to Grimaldi's and Lombardi's and honestly this pizza was the best NY pizza I had while in NYC. Amazing toppings, made from scratch - really, really good. I would say that those "by the slice" pizza places in Times Square are better, but if you want... More

This place is amazing, and it reminds me of Italy. The servers are friendly and very willing to help with ordering. The pizza was so good, and the mozzarella was fresh, and the basel tasted like it was just taken kloff the vine. Will return.

Dripping from rain we nipped in here to get dinner. The pies were very nice, slightly charred on a thin base ( how it should be ) and the toppings better than expectations. We are not big eaters so tried a side of meatballs and the brussel sprout pizza. It has a very light flavour but don't expect brussel sprouts... More

Staying in East Village

Neighborhood Profile
East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village, which offers plenty of unique small businesses catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the old-time neighborhood feel that you can still experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to wander up and down the streets searching for the newest hip spot, or an old-school favorite. In the center of the neighborhood, Tompkins Square Park serves as a gathering point for the New Yorkers that call the East Village home. The people-watching here is hard to beat.
