Before visiting New York City we did a bit of research to find the best pizza places - Motorino came up as 2nd or 3rd, but on Valentine's day we had a bit of spare time, and Motorino was the closest and easiest to get to so we headed down the the quaint little neighbourhood where it was situated for... This was our second visit in four years. We wanted real New York/Italian style pizza, and we were very pleased once again. The space is small, the range of drinks and non-pizza items limited, but the pies themselves are fantastic. Hosts were friendly and efficient and service was quick (without a reservation on a Saturday afternoon - still busy). Thin... More

We spent six weeks in Italy last year, and the pizza at Motorino brought back those great memories. The whole family loved the pizza, the atmosphere and the service. The owner also makes his rounds which is always a plus in my books. I absolutely recommend this place!

I read in an article that this place was supposed to be in the top 10 pizza places in the world, so when we went to NYC on an anniversary trip, we made the effort to get here. We came at kind of an odd time - a late lunch around 4 p.m. and there were people there, but we... More

Holy Jesus. This place must have been sent by the heavens. We waited 1 hour for a table of two. It was clear it was the place to be by the 30 or so people waiting with us. I cannot explain how good the pizza was. You will need to go there and eat it yourself.

The quality occasionally varies. Dough is always great. But the toppings can get soggy or bland. But all that is just a caveat before saying that when they get it right, no one does it better.

We came here to have dinner, and it started well: good american music playing, good wine, good pizza (toppings were delicious, but the dough wasn't as crunchy as I'd prefer). The service was nice most of the time. If one wants to go to East Village for a nice pizza, this place may be worth a try. That said, in... More

When you take over the Pizza franchise from a guy who studied with the founding fathers, you better be good or "Ismackayourface". The pie is thin crust with just enough elasticity to hold it together with the toppings, The sauce is first rate with good acidity and saltiness and the cheese is good, too. Probably the key to this pie... More

I'm a huge fan of thin crust NYC pizza and this is my favorite place I've been to. I say this with the caveat that I don't make it to Brooklyn often so I'm sure there's better out there, but this is pretty damn good and I always leave happy. Personal pies go for about $15 each and they have... More
