Amazing

I am from LA, so our pizzas are very different than NY's. I went to Grimaldi's and Lombardi's and honestly this pizza was the best NY pizza I had while in NYC. Amazing toppings, made from scratch - really, really good. I would say that those "by the slice" pizza places in Times Square are... read more

This place is amazing, and it reminds me of Italy. The servers are friendly and very willing to help with ordering. The pizza was so good, and the mozzarella was fresh, and the basel tasted like it was just taken kloff the vine. Will return.

Dripping from rain we nipped in here to get dinner. The pies were very nice, slightly charred on a thin base ( how it should be ) and the toppings better than expectations. We are not big eaters so tried a side of meatballs and the brussel sprout pizza. It has a very light flavour but don't expect brussel sprouts... More

We are regulars at the Mid Levels Motorino HK branch and was excited to try the original Motorino pizza. We arrived around 6.30pm and was fortunately seated immediately. Service from beginning to end was ok although no one questioned my clearly burnt pizza or why I only ate 1 slice out of 4. We ordered our usual and I was... More

This place had a great pizza. When a out of Times Square spot is busy and it isn't lunch time. You know it's a pretty good sign. Locals were here another good sign. Pizza was thin but had a good crust. We did opt for the sprout pizza; it was very good for us. Of course, just realize you don't... More

Visited Motorino in East Village based on reviews and "Best Pizza in New York" lists online, but it did not live up to the hype. Authentic atmosphere, small crowded pizzeria with a view of the huge wood-fired stove in the kitchen. Service was nothing special. Tiny glass bottle of diet coke was cute, but overpriced at $3 each. We ordered... More

No idea how Trip Advisor knew I went to Motorinos in NYC but found a small cozy place with good service from a young pleasant waitress. They make pizzas in a wood fired oven. While I cannot be sure, I believe the oven is just fired by wood, ie no gas or coal. This gives it a touch of authenticity... More

Luzzo's, Arturo's, John's on Bleecker ... They're all great but Motorino in the East Village wins my heart. Short wait times even on a Friday night, simple furnishings, then pizza to knock your socks off. The Brussels sprouts number has the town talking and you'll quickly taste why. Cheap red wine in tumblers tasted pretty good too. And the bill... More

Cute little East Village location in a great area for going out and getting a drink afterwards or just walking around and exploring. I came to Motorino with a Groupon type deal that included 2 pizzas and bottle of wine, it was a great deal but their regular prices are very reasonable also and a single pie is a good... More
