Description: You feel a great energy when you walk into the Glass House Tavern. The decor is soothing and warm and truly makes the customer feel welcome. The prompt, friendly service is delightful and the food is incredible. Executive Chef Craig Cupani has created a contemporary American menu that sets this restaurant apart from the other choices in the neighborhood. Fresh, seasonal ingredients are the emphasis here and the results are fantastic.

To be fair, I didn't choose to eat here (was meeting up with friends). We were seated upstairs and the restaurant was empty at 9:00 PM on a Saturday night. I asked the waitress if this was the norm, and she explained that we were in between shows and that it would become busier later. Sadly, it remained empty. I... More

Over-priced and so very average. I ordered the paella. Even on my worst cooking day, I could have made a better one than this. Not recommended.

We went late. I had halibut that was light and creatively presented with 2 types of asparagus It was one of the best I've eaten. Bread was warm and tasty. One of us had a free range chicken dish that was very tender and delicious. Had a great pineapple bread pudding for dessert. It was a very good meal we... More

dined with a friend for lunch recently. a wonderful atmosphere combined with a terrific menu made for a nice afternoon reprieve. considering we were in the heart of the theater district, i expected a touristy, noisy atmosphere- not the case. we both had salads, and they were both delicious. i would not hesitate to venture back. my only criticism was... Stopped by on Saturday night for a late dinner. Less than one block off Times Square but not busy. Has an upscale feel and look, but decent prices. Erin was our server, she rocked! Started with the fried risotto balls with parm sauce... Incredible. The grilled cheese and soup (tomato rosemary) was perfect and the Cuban sandwich was great! If... More

Our party of three came to new york to see a show and decided to have lunch just before the matinee. We came across the glass house tavern which turned out to be a pleasant surprise. First it was only two blocks from the theater and when you entered you left behind the heat of the day, sea of people... More

This was very bad experience. We arrived at around 7PM . The waiter asked us if we had theater tickets and we said no, we wanted to enjoy a leisurely dinner. We no sooner took a sip of our drinks and our appetizer arrived. In the meantime someone working right behind our booth dropped a tray of glasses. Every one... More

We dined at the wonderful Glass House Tavern before heading over to see Rock of Ages last night. From the moment we stepped in the door and were greeted by the friendly hosts, the experience was outstanding. My request for a high top table in the bar area downstairs was honored, ( I have dined here previously and this is... More

Arriving late and famished, we had no idea of where to eat for dinner, after searching Yelp, we gave this a try, the staff was wonderful even though we arrived late and it was clearly close to closing. We had a delicious meal from start to finish and my daughter said the scallops were the best she'd ever had. The... More
