Best lobster rolls ever!!

Wish we had one in England as I would visit everyday! By far the best lobster rolls I have ever had. I had the trio of lobster, crab and prawns with chips and a drink which was great value for money.

Generous serving of excellent lobster in a delicious toasted bun...but..the lobster is cold and the bun is warm. Take it home and heat it up. Also, cold lobster is a better summer choice than when it is chilly outside.

Many people rave about this place. While it's quite good and prices not too bad (I mean we ARE talking about lobster here), it's not the greatest. For starters, where is the tail meat? I often ask this because every time I go here, I never get tail meat and only claw meat. The consistency and taste is so different... More

Absolutely delicious lobster roll really buttery and simple. Other places we have been they add to many other ingredients. We went back for seconds and it was still delicious. We got free clam chowder the second time which was also amazing. Oh and try the coleslaw too. We will back next time we are in New York.

Luke's has the best crab rolls, Their clam chowder was great too. We walked from Herald square. It was so much fun finding it in a kitchen upstairs in a food court. Next time we visit Lobster Rolls.

Reviewing Luke's Lobster Roll at 426 Amsterdam Ave, New York, NY 10024, 80th Street. Luke's lobster roll is the best in NYC and in the conversation for best on the East Coast. Not lobster salad: No fillers, no diluters, just fresh shucked lobster meat and drizzled butter on a perfect size and perfectly grilled bun. Their other menu choices are... More

Had the crab sandwich. The buttered roll was grilled to perfection. Crab was creamy and not overpowering. Would recommend.

Staying in East Village

Neighborhood Profile
East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village, which offers plenty of unique small businesses catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the old-time neighborhood feel that you can still experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to wander up and down the streets searching for the newest hip spot, or an old-school favorite. In the center of the neighborhood, Tompkins Square Park serves as a gathering point for the New Yorkers that call the East Village home. The people-watching here is hard to beat.
