Had the crab sandwich. The buttered roll was grilled to perfection. Crab was creamy and not overpowering. Would recommend.

Among the very best lobster rolls I've ever eaten - and I've had my share. Always fresh with just enough butter and seasonings. Can't say much for the atmosphere on the Lower East Side but other locations have more seating. That said, the rolls are the same no matter where you find them... Also be on the lookout for their... The lobster roll is phenomenal: the crab roll and shrimp rolls are surprisingly fresh. Enjoyed the Maine Root Spicy Ginger Beer.Remember to collect your bag of chips that comes with the Taste of Maine. Hole-in-the-wall establishment .

If you want a lobster roll filled with lobster instead of mayo, celery, onion, and who knows what else, then Luke's is your place. It's a very simple (although a tad expensive) roll, and very excellent bread by the way, which has a tad butter on the bread, a sprinkling of seasonings (not too hot), and the lobster. Go for... It's a bit pricey but you're paying for good lobster and crab. The food was amazing and fast. The staff was also amazingly friendly. I'll definitely try to come back here.

The best lobster you will taste, addictive and at that price you will be back. Super quality outlet. Can be found all over NYC. Handy unit under the Plaza Hotel, if you are close to Central Park.

We had the clam Chowder, Lobster Bisque, and Maine Trio and all were delicious. Customer service was just as awesome as the food. Atmosphere was nice (just a tad small), but that would be expected in the area. We would go out of our way to eat here again.

The food is amazing and we could tell the lobster was of very high quality. The roll itself is soft and buttery, the hot sauce is great and the whole thing is very much on point. However, know that the place is VERY small.

When I visit NYC in December 2014, my family's favorite place was Luke's Lobster. It was a great surprise for us! A small place but with a great food!

Staying in East Village

Neighborhood Profile
East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village, which offers plenty of unique small businesses catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the old-time neighborhood feel that you can still experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to wander up and down the streets searching for the newest hip spot, or an old-school favorite. In the center of the neighborhood, Tompkins Square Park serves as a gathering point for the New Yorkers that call the East Village home. The people-watching here is hard to beat.
