Delicious and clean

I was impressed by the simplicity of the food - not covered in mayo. Delicious and quick (especially considering how slammed it was). Wouldn't plan on eating here (limited seating), but to-go would be wonderful.

I would need to eat at least 2 of the lobster sandwiches to be full which would be a $30 tab. Not sure if it's worth it, even if it is good.

I heard about Luke's Lobster through Tasting Table a few years ago and I'm a completely and unapologetic Luke's Lobster Groupie. The Lobster is always fresh, it's not hidden under mountains of erroneous ingredients and is just flat out done properly. The day a Luke's Lobster comes to midtown or to the Murray Hill area WILL be a highlight of... More

Always delicious. I've sampled the lobster and shrimp rolls many times. Most recently I had a shrimp roll. The roll is perfectly grilled and buttered and overflows with shrimp and not too much mayo. I think the spice (tarragon?) is what adds the finishing touch. Not cheap, but definitely cheaper than a night out.

Amazing delicious burgers with crabs, lobster or shrimps. Nosy bread with tasty butter and a lot of lobster claws it's one of the best NY memories. Must order lobster bisque and beer. In general it is really tasty and cheap.

Nice and relaxed atmosphere with great food. I will absolutely return next time I am in town! Order the menu with three different rolls, you will not be disappointed!

Really super lobster roll. Perfectly seasoned and virtually nothing but lobster inside. Bun was buttered just right. Not exactly cheap but absolutely worth it. Neither my wife nor I had ever enjoyed this good a roll anywhere.

A quick and tasty bite if you are near financial district. Particularly, I liked the lobster roll, but it need a little more flavor. You will not be disappointed.

Just my opinion, but they do it right. Warm meat, split top roll, melted butter and maybe some spices. I can't say what is proper, but I prefer this style to the cold meat and mayonnaise style. Simple but perfect. Not fancy and no real seating, but good for carry out.

Awesome lobster roll. Gotta try when you're in the area. With over 1000 reviews, it's just a must! I got the lobster and the crab roll. The portion is so so for the amount of money you spend, but the flavor is worth the amount. They were both delicious.

Staying in East Village

Neighborhood Profile
East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village, which offers plenty of unique small businesses catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the old-time neighborhood feel that you can still experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to wander up and down the streets searching for the newest hip spot, or an old-school favorite. In the center of the neighborhood, Tompkins Square Park serves as a gathering point for the New Yorkers that call the East Village home. The people-watching here is hard to beat.
