Best Lobster Roll Ever

It's a bit pricey but you're paying for good lobster and crab. The food was amazing and fast. The staff was also amazingly friendly. I'll definitely try to come back here.

The best lobster you will taste, addictive and at that price you will be back. Super quality outlet. Can be found all over NYC. Handy unit under the Plaza Hotel, if you are close to Central Park.

We had the clam Chowder, Lobster Bisque, and Maine Trio and all were delicious. Customer service was just as awesome as the food. Atmosphere was nice (just a tad small), but that would be expected in the area. We would go out of our way to eat here again.

The food is amazing and we could tell the lobster was of very high quality. The roll itself is soft and buttery, the hot sauce is great and the whole thing is very much on point. However, know that the place is VERY small.

When I visit NYC in December 2014, my family's favorite place was Luke's Lobster. It was a great surprise for us! A small place but with a great food!

My husband and I ate at 2 Lukes Lobster in NYC on our week long trip in June 2015. I was so good the first time we had to go find another one the next day. TRUST ME ON THIS---EAT THE LOBSTER ROLL!!! They use the claw meat from 5 lobsters for just one lobster roll!!--chips and root beer are... More

Last week while vacationing in NYC I found Luke's, after reading about it online, and I must say that my lobster roll, while not the biggest, was the BEST. What amazing flavor! Now that I am back in FLA I can't stop thinking about how delicious Luke's is!!!!! I was at the City Market location!

I visited Luke's, East Village, last week for the lobster sandwich. Quite delicious, though I winced at the price—$14.00. I'd go again, but could not make it a habit because of the expense. (You really do not dine here—you hang at the barstools and counters till you finish eating, and you leave.) On Gay Pride Sunday a few days ago... More

Very good lobster rolls. Lots of lobster on a butter roll. The entire family enjoyed our quick dinner. There are not of lot of food choices but if you are looking for lobster or crab - this is a good cheap place.

I tried the shrimp roll. All I can say is WOW! The shrimp was so fresh, the bun was delightful, and the whole preparation was superb. I definitely encourage you to eat here. The only detail is that you will have to find them, but its worth it!

Staying in East Village

Neighborhood Profile
East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village, which offers plenty of unique small businesses catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the old-time neighborhood feel that you can still experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to wander up and down the streets searching for the newest hip spot, or an old-school favorite. In the center of the neighborhood, Tompkins Square Park serves as a gathering point for the New Yorkers that call the East Village home. The people-watching here is hard to beat.
