Get the Ribeye!

Six of us went after work. We split three Ribeye's. We all believe this is the best steak ever. I've been to all the big steakhouses across the country. This beats them all! Amazing wine selection and the wine guy (sorry can't think of his title) was excellent. Amazing atmosphere. Only drawback... read more

Sunday afternoon was packed with locals in an out of the way location. The Standard Grill has a front and rear section, with the front set up diner style and lots of light coming in. Rear section is more intimate with padded semi-circular booths around the perimeter, individual tables and bench style booths in the center. More of a steakhouse... More

We had brunch here this past weekend, and it was perfect. It's adorable, the food is great, the service is excellent and it's not going to break your budget. Highly recommend this restaurant and then take a walk on the High Line!

Great design, the place looks beautiful! The food was excellent. The only down side would be the price, but considering the area, it is not surprising either. I would go back!

Great service, great choices...you will be stuffed and ready for a city walk. Prices are a bit on the high side but well worth it.

The Standard Grill is near the High Line in the Meat Packing district. It is trendy and you can easily run into some of your favorite young actors and artists eating there. During the winter they section off a part of the property outside and creative a small ice skating rink. Have a bite to eat, take a walk up... More

What a gem. You enter through a white wooden building to be led through to a stunning dining room. The floor must be worth a fortune I don't know how many dimes cover it great idea. Food service and atmosphere just perfect. We came accross it by chance but I would highly recommend a visit. Then walk your lunch of down... More

Came here by accident two years ago when we were starving after walking the Highline. Made a reservation for Saturday night for my most recent trip. We both had the tri trip steak with creamed greens and baked garlic potatoes as a side. The steak was baked to perfection and served with a very lovely pepper sauce. Service is very... More

Neighborhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
