Prepare to Be Amazed

On a recommendation of a sweet lady I'd met on my travels, me and my friends stumbled into this serene and oh so beautiful establishment. Immediately we were taken aback at the surroundings and then the staff. We were in a hurry to make a play but needed not to explain our plight. Our competent Waiter, Ken, was amazing! I'm... More

We are so glad we walked into Qi. We arrived with no reservation and were quickly seated on s Saturday night. The food here is outstanding and the decor gorgeous. My only negative was that it is too dim to read the menu and I needed to light it up with my phone. We had Mushroom Larb, Pad See Euw... More

Service was awful. Food was decent. Good happy hour specials. The pad see ew and lemon grass soup were both pretty good.

My brother-in-law found this restaurant and it is easy to walk past it if you are not aware of its location. Most of the Thai restaurants in the mid-town area (and there are many) are very ordinary but this one has chandeliers and in the middle section, are separated so you can have quiet conversations. The service was extremely good... More

We chose this Thai restaurant based on the proximity to our Theater for a pre-theater dinner. The food was excellent and favorably priced. The room is cavernous and dark with features that are quite nice (boxed chandeliers and Thai shrine for decor). The room is primarily white and stark which when combined with the darkness is a bit off putting.... More

Located near Times Square, this gem is tastefully decorated to create a rather zen ambience in the midst of chaotic mid- Manhattan! The menu is varied, including multiple options for vegetarians like me. Our party of 4 consisted of herbivores, carnivores and "eatanythingavores" and we all ate our fill of delicious Asian foods, all tasty and beautifully presented! The service... More

We ate at this restaurant twice on our most recent trip to the city. It was about 8 minute walk from our hotel called Yotel. It's VERY easy to miss as the storefront is very plain with a small sign and low lighting. Everything we had was delicious and the prices are very good. The service was impeccable! Highly recommend!

There were ten of us and we were off to the theatre. The organizers of the expedition arranged for us to come here for lunch before we went to the theatre. The place is up scale, tables were made of clear glass or plastic cubes incasing chandeliers, making for an unique appearance and off set lighting. We all had the... More

Staying in Flatiron District

Neighborhood Profile
Flatiron District
Offering many of the city’s best restaurants and shops set amid classic New York architecture, the Flatiron District is no longer under the tourist radar. At 23rd Street is the famous triangular Flatiron Building, which makes a good picture no matter what angle you photograph it from. Be sure to look up at the elegant architecture as you stroll the streets - much of this neighborhood is part of a historic district that was home to many of the city’s most famous department stores at the turn of the century. At the northern end of the neighborhood, Madison Square Park is best known for being home to a famous burger shack, but it can also be a quiet refuge to spend an afternoon, and it frequently hosts interesting public art exhibits. In the lower part of the Flatiron District you'll find Union Square, a bustling crossroads at all times of day and night.
