Authentic Vietnamese food

The food was exactly what I ate on my trip to Vietnam. Don't order a starter unless you are very hungry! Main course was more than enough for us

My wife and I were introduced to Nam Son by a neighbor who had frequented the restaurant while on a work assignment in NYC. The restaurant was just around the corner from our hotel in the heart of the China Town fresh produce and fish markets. ALL of the menu choices we selected were outstanding...very fresh and well prepared and... More

I went there for lunch with a couple of friends. The food was delicious. I had the best calamari ever as a starter. Chicken and noodles were also very tasty.

This place is great and getting there you pass all of the fantastic seafood stores next to it. My family loves coming here, the food is amazing. My wife loves the shrimp dishes, my son loves the pork chops on rice. The soups are also excellent. Green papaya salad is awesome.

The taste is good but nothing too special. Comparing to other restaurants in New York, it's not an expensive one but the dishes are pretty easy to make.

These days I've been craving Vietnamese pho in NYC. This is my first try for this restaurant . I ordered combination of beef pho, which was very big size bowl. The broth was good, not too salty or too much MSG. I added Siruccha sauce to spice up its taste. The server was friendly and attentive, refilled my tea frequently. Around $10 with... More

Popped into this large restaurant on impulse to taste some Vietnamese food. We had some very tasty chicken dishes at very reasonable prices, no frills type of place with lots Asians eating there so we took this as a good sign. Service was super fast.Recommended!

We had dinner there three times there during our five days in NY. The restaurant is highly appreciated by the Asian locals which seemed to be a good sign to us and we really enjoyed each and every meal there. It's really authentic Vietnamese food and the prices are absolutely reasonable.

The number one is super good! I recommended this place by one of the locals here in Chinatown. Really good rice noodle soup. Ask for the small, it's filling! Recommend this place hands down :)))

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Bursting with an amazing array of sights, sounds, and smells on every block, a visit to Chinatown feels like entering a different world. It’s a colorful spectacle that gets even more crowded on weekends, when families stream in to enjoy huge dim sum feasts and to stock up at the markets on Mott Street. To take a break from the buzz, grab something sweet from one of the many bakeries in the area and head to Columbus Park, where many Chinatown residents exercise, play games, and chat the day away.
