Within the hallowed walls of the Time-Life Building, and surrounded by some of the city’s most heralded attractions from Broadway to Radio City Music Hall, the imminent arrival of The Capital Grille is creating quite a stir of its own. Especially anticipated are our legendary dry-aged steaks, fresh seafood offerings, and a widely heralded collection of over 7,000 bottles of wine. All presented with unparalleled service in an atmosphere of relaxed elegance that serves as a respite to the frenetic pace of the streets outside.

Yum!

My boss, back in the UK, said he had eaten steak here and it was the best he'd ever had......as much as it grieves me to agree with him, I have to......the best ever steak, medium cooked filet mignon, pink perfection, with the steak knife carving through it with ease. My husband and I visited this... read more

My family and I dined here on a Saturday. To my surprise it was not super busy like the one in Chicago. The food was amazing. I tried one of the chef's selections which was the tenderloin and lobster tails. Aaamazing! All meals are a la cart so be prepared to pay a little more. The lobster mac n cheese... More

Normally I wouldn't take a 12-year-old to Capital Grille for dinner, but since it was Restaurant Week and a 3-course dinner was $38, I decided to give her a grown-up New York dining experience. I had been to Capital Grille last month to celebrate our anniversary, and dinner for 2 with a bottle of champagne and tip was over $300.... More

light dinner after the theater with superior service for which the Capital Grille is known; loved the onion soup; with a lot of places offering fake ahi tuna, this was the real thing, at a steak place no less

I am not a big fan of chain steakhouses, but it was late and we just walked into The Capital Grille after a show. All in all, the food was very good but nothing exceptional. However, our Service was absolutely outstanding! The staff was attentive without being overbearing and our lead server was perfect. She was helpful, engaging, knowledgeable, and... More

The "capital Grille"s in Manhattan are some of the finest steak/seafood venues. Invariably, I have had at a minimum a GOOD meal , more often than not an EXCELLENT one. I have visited each several times. However, my visit this past Friday extremely disappointing. My guest and I both felt the steak was undercooked, and the seafood not of the... More

My daughter and i came to nyc. It was her first time so she researched a nice restaurant for dinner. Her selling point was the lobster mac and cheese. We arrived about 5 minutes before our reservation and were quickly seated. Our server was Adrienne. Her enthusiasm and recommendations made the experience amazing. If you can, ask for her. She... Chosethis restaurnt as it was nearby to our hotel in Manhattan for my hubands 50th birthday meal. Mentioned this when booking and when we arrived the table had been decorated and a card left for him. During the meal the service was impeccable and everything served at just the right pace. The food was excellent I think we all chose... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
