I've been to many of the major steakhouses in Manhattan, but I have to say that this was probably the best experience I've had (not saying there was anything wrong with the others!). The service, from start to finish, was flawless. The food was perfect, starting with my friend's lobster bisque (and the lovely little espresso cup our server brought... More

We chose this restaurant for the value of their pre-theater dinner as well as noting that they make an extended effort to decorate and help guests celebrate special events. We were very pleased with the dinner but the later reason let us down. $39 dollars gets the guest a soup or salad, main course, and dessert. The soup we chose... More

Let me make this short and sweet:-). Any " Capital" in the " Bug Apple " is VERY good!!!....I've been to all three several times as (a " weekend manhattanite)". Let me say, the servers and food are ALWAYS "top notch". If you are thinking of " Del Friscos".. Let me say I've been there also NUMEROUS times( no pun... More

We ate here recently and had a lovely dinner from the theater menu which was a good value at $39. This included a salad, entree, side, and dessert. Food was excellent - I had the kona crusted sirloin, and my wife had the filet mignon. Service was very good and prompt. Dessert was excellent as well. We arrived for our... More

This branch of The Capital Grille is a beautiful, gracious, quiet place with excellent service and classic high quality American food. We ate there between Parts I and II of "Wolf Hall" on Broadway and it was a perfect choice, particularly because our waitress/sommelier, Sarah, understood how to pace our meal. When my salmon wasn't cooked exactly like I prefer... More

Visited last evening for a special meal in NYC. It's a very plummy restaurant more like a old style Gentlemans Club. We both had Fillet Mignon with mashed potatoes and green beans. The steak was very good and tasty but the potatoes too creamy and rich. We had a bottle of Seghesio Sonoma Zinfandel which was excellent. Whilst our experience... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
