The Capital grille is a pretty large restaurant, but it doesn't feel that way. We had a booth near de winecabinet. Our waiter was really nice and friendly (Ed Sullivan, easy name to remember). The food was good. We had a bottle of champagne. I noticed after a while that my glass was broken. I asked for a new glass.... More

We visited the Capital Grille for a birthday meal and wasn't disappointed! The service we received from the beginning from our waitress Elyssa was fantastic. We received a complimentary glass of fizz to begin the evening which was followed by lobster and crab cakes. I opted for the gigantic porterhouse and my partner the filet, both of which were cooked... More

I and my wife had dinner here the last night in New York. The service and food was excellent and it’s something that everyone has to try. We would like to thank the manager that was so sweet to our daughter.

Had a 5pm dinner just before a 7pm theater so we took the pre-theater menu. Had New England clam chowder, a 14 ounce dry aged New York strip steak and the classic Crème Brûlée. What can I say? All of this for a pre-theater price of $39. I also added lobster bisque soup. Our server was very attentive and had... More

My husband and I dined at the Capital Grill to celebrate our wedding anniversary. When we arrived, our server, Carlos, greeted us with a glass of "bubbly" ! Our table was even decorated with confetti! Carlos was extremely thorough and attentive. Our dinner was delicious! Our steak was grilled to perfection. The lobster Mac and cheese was the best! You... During our 5 day trip to NYC we dined at The Capital Grille located in the Time Life Building. We had a 9:00pm reservation on Friday evening and were greeted immediately by the friendly hostess. The wait time was minimal and our booth/table was available. Overall the salad, steaks, side and dessert was ok. My husband thought his steak was... More

OK so we have 2 Capital Grilles in Houston, however have only gone to the NYC Time-Life Building location. Our first visit was in November 2012 right before our wedding. Since we were celebrating our 2nd wedding anniversary in NYC we found it suiting to return this past visit at the end of December (We actually ate there 2 nights... More

Always enjoy having dinner at this establishment. The staff is always exceptional. My Husband and I have eaten here multiple times and have yet to find fault in anything from the food to the staff are the best. Eating at the bar is the best and quickest way to get a bite if you haven't made an advanced reservation.
