Great Selection

We came upon this place by accident but it was a lucky break. It was a Saturday night and busy but the place has a nice back bar that had enough room. The beer and whiskey selection is really good and the service was prompt and friendly. We'll definitely come back.

Visited here a couple of times, first for a quick beer and some wings, the second time we ended up staying for dinner. Food was american bar food - burgers, wings, nachos etc - all done really well. The wings were the best I had while in New York and I will be returning should I find myself in NYC... More

Stopped in for a drink in evening because of their excellent beer list. They have about 20 beers and ciders on tap and an extensive bottle list. We were able to find a table in the bar area (with table service) and the noise level was fine for talking. Others around us ordered food, which looked like standard bar food.... More

We decided to try the place for lunch after a morning of walking round New York - and I am certainly glad that we did. It was a Friday lunchtime and quiet (which was no bad thing) - being off the tourist track etc., then on a cool January day it probably would be quiet. Wanting a relatively light lunch,... More

This is a pretty good pub with a nice atmosphere. I came here back at the end of Oct 2015 after a meeting at NYU and I'm glad we stopped in. The service was good and the staff were all very kind. The brews were great and they have a nice selection of brews. I can't comment on the food... More

Bottomless mimosas. Need I say more? The food was good and reasonably priced. The only draw back was having to pay in cash to split the bill with everyone.

I've been here a few times now. I really like the "cask engine". I had beer from it a few times. It's quite a throwback to the era before pressurized kegs. The beer is drawn much like water from a well. It's quite potent and a bit different because it's got no nitrogen pressure going for it. It's also ten... More

The Half Pint is a charming little pub a block away from Washington Square. When you have had enough sightseeing or just need a place to get away from the madding crowd this is the place. The taps are cool and rotate out on a regular basis. There is even a draw off a keg in the basement. Stop in... More

Staying in Greenwich Village

Neighborhood Profile
Greenwich Village
Commonly known as “the Village” to New Yorkers, it was here in Greenwich Village that both 1960’s counter culture and the LGBT movement were born. Famous for its bohemian past, head to Washington Square Park to get a feel for this diverse and energetic neighborhood. You’ll find NYU students, street performers, skateboarders, kids frolicking in the fountain, and locals relaxing and playing chess. Stroll the streets to discover a mix of majestic town homes and hidden bars and restaurants that give this neighborhood an old-school residential feel. When the sun goes down, check out one of the famous jazz or comedy clubs that still packs them in every night.
