We became regulars at Mari Vanna. The staff is friendly, service is good and food is tasty. I brought diversity of people there for lunches and we were never disappointed. I love the presentation of food as well and the real feeling of Russian home made food. Try Mari Vanna if you want to get a taste of Russian food... More

Two Russian speaking friends and I went to this restaurant on Labor Day weekend, both the food and the cocktails were amazing but the music was too loud and was not really fitting with the décor (80's Russian electro songs vs classical furniture). Still this contrast made us smile and overall we had a great time.

I had an absolutely amazing time at Mari Vanna. The ambiance is less "old world" Russian and more farm-style/country from the decor, to the drink options, to the waitresses' attire. The food was exceptional and included a lot of authentic eastern European options. Staff was attentive and knowledgeable. I will definitely go back and highly recommend to friends.

Great Russian food: good choice and very nicely prepared. Nice ambience and decoration. Staff dresses, the tableware and decor - a bit exaggerated USSR style. The place is packed with Russians and ex-Russians;) and a few tourists. The prices are quite high, but the food quality is very good.

This was my first time trying Russian cuisine, and it didn't disappoint. The restaurant is small and cozy, and the decor is quaint and cutesy. Flowery wallpaper is offset by Russian pop music. The food is pretty good. The blinis are made wonderfully — perfectly thick and chewy and soft, and it goes well with beef (appetizer) and Nutella and... More

We loved this great little, flower filled, quaint (bordering on kitch) restaurant - a lovely haven in the middle of New York. The staff are lovely and the food was wonderful - not too heavy as Russian sometimes can be. The potato dumplings were excellent. The birds milk was a little bland but the Onegin was a lovely way to... More

The atmosphere was great here. Plenty of seating upstairs with very unique, ethnic decor. The food was very good. This restaurant was very classy and trendy but also great if you are looking for Eastern European cuisine. Unique choices for alcoholic beverages. There was also a little something for people not familiar with Eastern European cuisine.

I'll admit, before eating here, I never really had authentic Russian cuisine. So, I dined here with a friend of mine who is from Moscow(she said when she has friends in town and wants to show off, she brings them here). They have a vodka menu with flavored vodkas that are quite tasty. I had the cherry infused, pear and... More

Great experience of Russian food, music and over all atmosphere. The beauty of this place is in its perfect combination of Russian menu and extra selection for the picky eaters. Customer service is top notch and music takes you back to good old days back home.
