This is not my first time in Marivanna NYC. I enjoy everything about this place: interior, service, food. Being known as a very picky in my food preferences and tastes I still want to mention that the experience in the restaurant is incredible! Home-like delicious food gives a feeling of being back in Kazakhstan, eating grandmom's food. The interior is... More

We were a group of friends who went there for Halloween dinner. The food was very very tasty! Do not forget to try their olivier salad and chicken kiev. Being a person who doesn't eat anything else than chicken for non vegetarian, I couldn't taste much of the foods that we ordered. But my friends were all raving about Borscht,... More

My sister took me there for my birthday last year and it was wonderful. We started with the artichoke salad & blinis with red caviar. A simple salad but it was delicious. We shared Golubski (which wasn't on the lunch menu, but they made if for us anyway!! And Siberian Pelmeni. Delicious, hearty peasant food. I think I loved the... More

Somebody suggested Mari Vanna to my husband and I while we were visiting New York and we were so happy that we tried it! We have been to several other Russian restaurants in NYC and Mari Vanna is our new favorite! The atmosphere was very cute and fun, I loved the "your old Russian grandma's place" feel to it. Loved... Dined here with a group of 5.... Fun - The flavored vodka menu if terrific, highly recommend you order a flight or two....it is a great ice breaker! Also had the malbec, which you could order by the glass, but we have a bottle, it was good and reasonable Delicious - Importantly, the food was delicious, I had the appetizer... More

Our son lives in this neighborhood and suggested we try this place during our first visit. What a fun place to have brunch. The decorations were romantic/ pre-Revolution; only criticism was the music was a bit too loud. Mimosas were served and your glass was not empty for long. Best things in the buffet were the fabulous borscht, chicken scallopini... More

We want to Mari Vanna for my friend's birthday. When he told me we would go to a Russian restaurant I was quite surprised. I never had Russian food before and I didn't know what to expect. But the moment I set foot in this restaurant I knew it was going to be great. We had a lot of blinis... More

We went for their Brunch Buffet today never having been to this place before. It has a charm with waitresses in country Russian attire although the music was too brash and too loud. Mimosas were served and continually refilled. The buffet is fun with a sufficient selection of dishes both hot and cold. First I had a plate of their... More

Went here for a party at christmas time last year. The event was amazing, the food was plentiful and the service was also great. Would recommend for an event.
