I stopped in for a day-old pastrami sandwich with Gulden's mustard (not how they billed it on the menu, of course). Seriously disappointing, because I recall eating a delicious pastrami sandwich here a few years ago, but this one was almost like eating beef jerky. The counter, where they'll ask you to sit if you come in solo (even if... More

We popped in here for brunch and were really happy with the overall experience We were seated straight away in this old style feel diner and from there to the point of leaving our server was perfectly attentive without managing to be annoying. We both got omelettes which were cooked just right with quality ingredients. Our bill was easily the... More

We went searching for dinner near the hotel and came upon this diner. I think we were the last customers before then closed at 8. Good solid diner comfort food and a couple of beers were exactly what we needed and what we found. The service was great. Be aware that is is cash only.

This diner was nothing fancy but is quite busy. The service was fine, nothing to complain about. The food was good and prices were ok. I was there for breakfast 3 of the 4 days I was in NYC.

When you see diners on tv that are old, dingy, have a loud waitress, and horrible food, this place lives up to tv diner reputations. The food is horrible, much of it tastes pre-made, frozen, and reheated. I last ordered a cheeseburger deluxe which is always my safe item. The burger was dried out, bun was stale and toasted to... We ate here because it was convenient to our hotel - and we wanted a big breakfast to fuel up for a long day of walking in NYC. This was perfect. The decor is a trip back to 1987, but the portions were generous and the food and coffee were very good. We ate a LOT and our total bill... More

The wait staff were attentive. Food was ok for a diner. We were seated quickly and the wrap I ordered was pretty good. Not the best but it is a diner. My son frequents this place (since he lives here) and loves it.

We returned several times to the Murray Hill Diner. The food is fresh, the coffee is excellent and the service is efficient. The prices are reasonable. We had breakfast, afternoon coffee and bagels, and dinner at the Murray Hill Diner, as it was close to our hotel and we enjoyed the food.

Enjoyed a real home style meal here with my daughter during a trip to New York. I couldn't resist ordering the steak, which was anything but simple. It came, surprisingly, all on its own on one plate, swimming in its own delicious juices. The sides, which were generous, came on their own plate. It was quaint and homely, but as... More

We as a family had breakfast here twice , the food is very well presented , tasty and in NYC reasonable value .The plus was we were served by a very very pleasant young lady who's name evades me but her smile and pleasant outlook was brilliant. Keep up the great work.
