Description: David Burke Townhouse is the masterpiece of Award-winning Executive Chef David Burke, whose reputation for wildly creative takes on American ingredients is unsurpassed. Since 2003, David Burke has been serving provocative Modern American Cuisine in an elegantly refurbished Upper East Side space. The restaurant's design is inspired by the bold colors and lacquered surfaces on the 1930's, yet it has decidedly contemporary aesthetic. Upon entering David Burke Townhouse, guests will feel the glamour and sense of fun in the lounge with its sleek white gloss, stone bar and whimsical art installations. The volume of color and drama is turned up for the main event, the dining room, where a striking color palette of chocolate, vanilla and lipstick colors prevails.

Long known as a wonderful venue, DB has two fantastic surprises. First a delightful and satisfying Sunday night special of $35.00 for a three course meal and second a wine stewardess with price savvy and empathy who can listen to your favorite tastes and dig out a wonderful wine that will both pleasure the tongue and wallet. Praise goes to... More

We dined at David Burke Townhouse on a girl's weekend to celebrate the birthday of a friend. It was, in a word, spectacular. The food was outstanding - be sure not to miss the crispy and angry lobster, the braised short ribs and the donut tower. The service was attentive and professional, the wine list excellent and the ambience lovely.... More

David Burke Townhouse is a unique dining experience. My party and I, uponseeing how many wonderful appetizers were on the menu, decided to share several of them as a start. From the stuffed zucchini flowers to the Angry Lobster, we enjoyed every single one of them. We decided to share only two entrees amongst us. We decided on one of... More

Finding the David Burke Townhouse was a welcome treat on our recent NY trip. The ambiance was great as the restaurant is housed in an old and quaint brownstone. The staff was very attentive, but not obtrusive. Our waiter steered us to some great selections (the Angry Lobster appetizer is wonderful). Cocktails were a hit with the Honey Badger rating... More

The narrow entry past the bar takes you down a short flight of stairs to a large arty dining room filled with lots of tables and chairs. First impression is not good, however, we marveled at how easily the waiters and diners meandered through the floor. Now to the best part of the night: The glorious food! Wow, the amuse... More

I love the idea of a quiet neighborhood restaurant with great food - and this did not disappoint. The natives must have been in the Hamptons because it was full of tourists. Good food, beautifully presented but the art on the walls almost ruined my meal. Beautiful beat salad.I loved the Duck Duck Duck...had a great glass of Prosecco and... More

Very attractive restaurant; cute bar area and beautiful, elegant main dining room. There are far too many tables crammed together in this room, however, with barely inches between them. Fortunately, the dining room was nearly empty at 8PM on a Thursday evening, so this wasn't a problem for us. Service was fine and our waiter seemed a bit defensive when... More

Wow! Beautiful restaurant. Amazing and friendly staff, genuinely interested in their customers and providing a truly excellent level of service. It was fun! We had a smile on our faces from the moment we walked in. Food was glorious. Service was brilliant; efficient but attentive with plenty of time to ENGAGE with customers. If we go back to NY this... This was our third visit to the Townhouse. We have been very happy each time. The dining room is lovely, with huge displays of fresh flowers. The service is excellent, friendly and unobtrusive. Each course is interesting and flavorful. The Crisp & Angry Lobster was a wonderful appetizer, as was the Pretzel Crusted Crabcake. For the main course, we loved... More

Food was art on a plate and even more delicious. The service was friendly and informative. In short it was unbelievable and worth the high price tag. Fabulous for a special event. Tables too tight for a romantic evening, but if you not mind close elegant neighbors, you'll love DBT!
