Fast and Good!

A great pre-theater restaurant. Food is great, service was attentive, friendly and quick. We each had the petit 8 oz filet. Mine was cooked perfectly rare as requested -- red and cool in the center. Quite astounding to have it done right. The charming waitress advised us to share one order of... read more

We ended up returning here twice! It is located next to theaters. It was open after the theater for dinner. The waitstaff were kind and accommodating We arrived on a Monday night, after seeing Les Miz,..11pm..really their closing time, and they politely accepted us and then provided us with the best rib-eye steak! (My husband orders rib-eye steaks at the... More

Excellent place for dinner - especially steaks - before or after a broadway show. It is a cosy and authentic place with excellent service and perfect food.

Bad choice!! Still kicking myself for eating here with so many other fabulous choces in the area! So much for a great date night-- cramped seating, poor tasting risotto-- onion strings tasted like fast food. Never again!

Bway Theater old school steak house. It is what it purports to be, an expensive steakhouse. Entrees were good (sirloin and salmon) cooked perfectly. Sides were extra and not special. Desserts, pie and ice cream were average or below. Service was good and friendly. Ambiance was noisy, close tables, but acceptable.

When I hear "steak house" I see big men, big food, limited menu. Therefore, I was reluctant to meet some friends here. We arrived at Frankie's at their small small and unassuming entrance, wood paneled area with a bar. The friendly girl takes us upstairs to the small but very cheerful restaurant area. Their wine selection, by the glass or... More

My wife and I went to this restaurant for dinner last week. It's in central Manhattan. The decor was pretty old fashioned and there was little atmosphere to shout about. The waiter was prompt and took our drinks order. The food we had was very good, we both had steak and you could not fault it. The head waiter spoke... More

Great local restaurant with mouth watering steaks. Very close to the theaters and seems to be a hot spot for theater stars , celebrities and locals. Great service and quaint atmosphere. It is loaded with history and worth seeking out for a great meal.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
