Pair elegance and wonderful service with good food and a working fireplace and you have a recipe for happy diners! We were sent to Frankie and Johnie's Steakhouse in Midtown Manhattan after being turned away at another famous steakhouse. Although I had heard of F&Js, I walked in with no expectations. We were greeted courteously and promptly shown seats. I... More

Great stop for theatre goers. They offer pre and post show specials. Our meals were very good and we would recommend . We all agreed that we would actually return. Note: you must be capable of getting up about a dozen steps.

After a long day walking from World Trade Centre back to Time Square, I'd promised my family a dam good steak, thtas when we saw Frankie and Johnnies Steakhouse. During our 6 days in NYC we wanted to try the standard NYC foods, hotdogs, pizza, Pasta, NY breakfast, Chinese, etc. and a big juicy steak. We were meet by a... More

While the food was good, it was not worth the 49.99 we were charged for one ribeye PER PERSON. The wait staff was so arrogant we almost left. The head waiter began yellowing at another waiter that if he didn't serve some table nothing but drinks he would fire him on the spot. We felt very looked down on and... More

The decor of the restaurant was warm and classic. The service was pretty good. The food was not very good and was very expensive. My mother-in-law ordered a baked potato as a side that was probably the biggest baked potato I've ever seen. It was alarming. I guess one could consider it a good value, but we weren't really looking... More

We needed longer here. pre-show dinner, table was ready for us; very busy. Good menu choices especially for those not inclined to steak. Food was well prepared, good presentation, imaginative recipes with lots of little creative touches. Good wine list. All was very nice. Quiet enough for conversation (except for the very loud man sitting behind us), and yet lively... More

Went here with a group of 10 people. Service as really good and they handled a group of this size very well. The food was very good at well, I think everyone in the group was happy with their dishes. The place is not cheap, but in return you get really good service. The portions are really big - I... More

This restaurant is located in the heart of the theatre district and is frequented by famous people. It is a tiny place with too many tables crowded into the dining area. Servers bump into patrons while serving. The food was average and VERY overpriced. $18 for four asparagus spears.....if you have lots of money to spend on average food and... More

it went down hill from there. I expected a traditional New York Steakhouse. And it is a traditional New York Steakhouse except the only rib-eye they serve is a bone-in 26oz. OK, I ordered a filet medium rare which was served medium done at best. The wait staff was surly. We were a party of three women and were treated... More

I will try to keep this brief as this restaurant is not worth more than 5-10 minutes of my (or anyone’s) time. We booked a table for 3 on New Year’s Eve. Upon arrival we were asked if we’d like to check our coats, we declined citing cell phones, wallets, etc. in our coat pockets. The hostess replied something along... More
