Fast and Good!

A great pre-theater restaurant. Food is great, service was attentive, friendly and quick. We each had the petit 8 oz filet. Mine was cooked perfectly rare as requested -- red and cool in the center. Quite astounding to have it done right. The charming waitress advised us to share one order of... read more

When I hear "steak house" I see big men, big food, limited menu. Therefore, I was reluctant to meet some friends here. We arrived at Frankie's at their small small and unassuming entrance, wood paneled area with a bar. The friendly girl takes us upstairs to the small but very cheerful restaurant area. Their wine selection, by the glass or... More

My wife and I went to this restaurant for dinner last week. It's in central Manhattan. The decor was pretty old fashioned and there was little atmosphere to shout about. The waiter was prompt and took our drinks order. The food we had was very good, we both had steak and you could not fault it. The head waiter spoke... More

Great local restaurant with mouth watering steaks. Very close to the theaters and seems to be a hot spot for theater stars , celebrities and locals. Great service and quaint atmosphere. It is loaded with history and worth seeking out for a great meal.

Loved this place! I've been before many years ago and re-visited again during our stay last month. Luckily we were able to walk in and get a table straight away one Thursday evening. The restaurant has a cosy feel with it being a small place but they have utilised it the best they can. Lovely noisy atmosphere, but not deafening.... More

In a few words , it's just not that great. Very large portions of somewhat burned meet. Beer was stale. Just a waste of money. Good but far from great.

We had the 8ounce filet and it was amazing. We are use to Omaha Steak quality and this was ever bit as good. Also added a Caesar salad and it was tasty. Good wine by the glass selection. Our wait staff were friendly and very attentive. Reaurant upstairs. Go early if you are seeing a show.

Having never been to New York City, I was interesting to see what this "landmark" steakhouse would entail. I was also hoping that the staff would help me pull off an impromptu birthday surprise for my mother-in-law. I was surprising my mother-in-law for her 60th birthday celebration, and I had just flown in from Australia last afternoon and arrived at... More

Went for $25 Prefix. Had a generous salad with great dressing, filet (cooked perfect medium) with broccoli, breakfast style potatoes (yum), and desert. Also enjoyed a $10 glass of wine which filled the glass! Where else in NYC can you go for a $35 meal & have all the things I noted & great tasting too?? Bathroom was clean with... More

This restaurant is very "cozy" and has a definite flavor of a landmark neighborhood restaurant. It appeared that many customers and the owner had known each other for years. The food was quite good, and we had wood-fire grilled Filet Mignon. Sides are a la carte. When I say cozy, I mean just about everyone in this restaurant is touching,... More

Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
