Good Steak, Decent Prices

The steak is very good at decent prices. The decor is dated, however, if you are with a group, one can look past that for the good food and attentive waiters.

Nice place. Old speak easy with great atmosphere. Good service. Pricey like all New York steak houses. My wife and daughter loved their filets, I was too picky about my ribeye. Like most men I always think I do steaks better. I do recommend it though.

This establishment is exactly what you think of when you picture Manhattan dining. No matter what you order, there is care taken into every dish and it has a classic steakhouse atmosphere that is welcoming and very metropolitan. I highly recommend this to anyone staying near Hells Kitchen or the Times Square area .

This is a place I actually don't want to tell you about - I don't want it to become commercialised (but I can't really see that happening). You can sit at the bar as we did (without a table reservation thatsxwherevyoull probably be) It's old fashioned quality service by waiters who seem to have been there for ever & also... More

I love this place-- it feels like Barney Miller's NYC! (I loved that show). We had the steak and asparagus which were both delicious, and finished with the cheesecake which was good too. We sat downstairs at the bar which has 3 tables plus 5 seats along the bar and it was a great atmosphere with mainly locals. I thought... More

For me it was the 60s all over again. Chopped liver with eggs and onions - wonderful. Lamb chops cut from the loin - perfectly cooked and enough food for an army. A NewYork classic. They never disappoint. A perfect pre theater meal.

Great steaks in this smaller steak house hidden away on the 2nd floor. Has about 20 tables but service was first class and portions were HUGE. The celebrities love this place as well everyone from George Bush Sr. to Larry King to Tom Selleck have their pictures up on the walls.

Been here twice and it's too draw by far the best steak I've ever had. Once I'd got over the embarrassment of my wife ordering a Well Done steak on our first visit we had to go back when we returned for our 2nd visit to NYC.. Brilliant friendly little steak house a nice change from the carnage of Times... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
