Revisiting after about 6 years. Service is so slow! I eat out a lot and respect service and letting you enjoy your food but this was sitting and waiting... Read the menu before going and if it is for you then still go. High quality cooking as you would expect from DB. Unfortunately the rest of the dining experience is... More

This was amazing. There were a group of 9 of us (3 kids, 3 couples) ages 7 - 50. All really enjoyed it. We had the big Bowery Brunch which was 5 courses of delicious food. All presented really nicely. We also ordered the make your own Mimosa's. That was perfect. It came with 2 bottles of fizz and a... More

Restaurant itself combines trendiness with classy appearance. We love decorations in forms of copper kitchenware given to restaurant by different chefs. Staff is very professional, friendly, and easy to communicate. Menu is excellent, and choices are quite good. Prices are a little higher than in such places, but food is worth it hundred percent. The only thing I would consider... More

Our initial greeting was a half filled restaurant with an arrogant host who said he didn't know when he could seat us when we had made reservations two weeks in advance. We were then banished to the bar where the bartenders were truly outstanding and friendly making the wait somewhat more digestible. One hour later I went back to the desk after... My wife and myself visited on 3/30. My wife had the Long Island Duck, I had the 12 oz. NY strip. Both were fantastic-a treat for the palate! Our server, Thomas was helpful to the extreme in making selections. He was very knowledgeable about each menu item and made sure all was satisfactory. The wine selection is wide ranging. If... More

I absolutely loved the interior design, decor and atmosphere of DBGB. On the other hand, after reading all the wonderful reviews about DBGB I was expecting an amazing experience. It was good, but not great. Service was excellent, food was good, but I expected tastier dishes (my choice was. Spaghetti Alla Chitarra Pasta with toscana sausages). Finally, the dessert (Baked... Ok, this isn't a chic, elegant restaurant. DBGB Kitchen and Bar is exactly what Chef Daniel Boulud calls it. It's downtown Manhattan American tavern which melds a French brasserie to make a wonderful place to talk and eat. It's not exactly quiet, but somehow this is a terrific place to eat, drink, have a great time, and talk. The drinks... More

Was visiting NYC this week and had dinner here with a friend. The restaurant is nicely set up and the bar/lounge area is separate from the dining area, which I felt was a nice change. We were seated in a booth for 2 and the service was great. Decent wine list and average prices. It was restaurant week, so one... More

My spouse and I dined at DBGB Kitchen and Bar for brunch on a Saturday afternoon in mid-January 2015. We made booked a table in the main dining room using the Open Table reservation system. (The restaurant accepts reservations for the dining room only; they do not accept reservations for tables in the bar room.) DBGB is open for lunch... More
