Excellent Dinner at DBGB

We had dinner at DBGB Kitchen and Bar for the first time on recommendation by a friend who frequents this restaurant often. When we arrived at 7 PM, the restaurant was about half full, but it became very full soon after that. We were seated promptly upon arrival. The decor is very pleasant and... read more

I went for Sunday brunch on 4/26. It was still fairly early, so it was not busy yet, and it was nice enough that we could use the outdoor seating. Our waitress was great, very attentive. I did the prix-fixe menu with the mushroom soup, beer-battered cod, and the rhubarb sundae for dessert. Fantastic! (I couldn't actually finish the sundae,... More

We had drinks and a hamburger! Excellent burger. Fries were good, not greasy. The bartender mixed exactly what we wanted in the way we wanted it.

Where else can you eat a Sunday brunch for $27 bucks that includes Daniel Boulud's pate?? I chose this place because I had my teenager in tow and I knew he'd order a waffle or DBGB's awesome hot dog. I ordered a Bellini for my wife and I ordered an IPA on tap to get my brunch started. If your... More

This was our best US dining experience of the whole trip. It felt like a proper NY thing to do, and was done so well - stylish surroundings, great service and a very informal 'dish in the middle of the table all serve yourself' approach. We had the 'Big Bowery Brunch' , where the the menu is fixed - you... More

Revisiting after about 6 years. Service is so slow! I eat out a lot and respect service and letting you enjoy your food but this was sitting and waiting... Read the menu before going and if it is for you then still go. High quality cooking as you would expect from DB. Unfortunately the rest of the dining experience is... More

This was amazing. There were a group of 9 of us (3 kids, 3 couples) ages 7 - 50. All really enjoyed it. We had the big Bowery Brunch which was 5 courses of delicious food. All presented really nicely. We also ordered the make your own Mimosa's. That was perfect. It came with 2 bottles of fizz and a... More

Restaurant itself combines trendiness with classy appearance. We love decorations in forms of copper kitchenware given to restaurant by different chefs. Staff is very professional, friendly, and easy to communicate. Menu is excellent, and choices are quite good. Prices are a little higher than in such places, but food is worth it hundred percent. The only thing I would consider... More

Our initial greeting was a half filled restaurant with an arrogant host who said he didn't know when he could seat us when we had made reservations two weeks in advance. We were then banished to the bar where the bartenders were truly outstanding and friendly making the wait somewhat more digestible. One hour later I went back to the desk after...
