Go at night for cocktails and sit outside in this bar surrounded by palms with a great view of the lit up Empire State Building.

Looking at other reviews, this isnt a place for food but I only visited for the bar and view. Great place for that! Enjoy!

I won't waste my time talking about this place! Just avoid it! The dishes were dirty, terrible service, so so food. Stunning view, but you can get that in many other locations.

There's a ton of rooftop bars in this city. However, when my friends or others are in the hunt for a rooftop bar we always wind up here. The views of the Empire State Building is wonderful and the space is huge and there's a wide variety of music being played. You'll see a mixture of locals, non-locals and everything... More

This bar has a classy and classic NYC view. The bar menu is big on mixed drinks and martinis and short on selection of wine and beer. The food menu is only decent; nothing fancy or conscientiously prepared or conceived of in the kitchen. The palms brought in for the summer will probably suffer by the first frost.

Amazing view... But the staff is so unpleasant that me and my girlfriend left without even ordering anything. People who work there look too cool to be working there. First, I got there and asked for a table for 2. The hostess (who was dancing to the music and I had to call for her attention) told me I could... More

I will never come back to that place. Totally rude staff. They kicked some Spanish people for nothing. Stay away! They drinks are expensive and horrible. The view is ok but I will never return to this racist place.

Our least pleasurable experience on our NYC trip. Odd place, with an unfriendly waitstaff that acts put out at having to serve you. Decent drinks, but for the price they charge, I'd expect about three times the drink I got. View? Well, you really only can see it if you stand up on the bench by the ledge. Food was... More

I have been to 230 Fifth numerous times on visits to NYC - it has great drinks, a fun atmosphere, and an amazing view of NYC, especially at night! Decided to bring my mom and sister to show them what a great place this is - and I wish I hadn't. Rooftop was booked for a private event when we... More
