An amazing restaurant with great seafood. By far one of my favorite restaurants in NYC. I strongly recommend this place for a special event.

Chef Michael White has wowed me yet again. The food and service was excellent and above all, great value when you decide to do the meal course. You get to choose a dish from each section of the menu and the portions do not disappoint either. The standout was the fusilli braised in red wine with octopus and bone marrow.

This is a restaurant which is no fuss yet focuses on delivering pure quality. It is not hyped as a trendy spot or the place to be and yet there is a scene. It is not sold as having the best food in the universe and yet has some of the best pasta dishes and crudo that I have eaten.... More

Late night dinner with my wife. Courteous reception when arriving and shown to our table. However, no menues or drinks offered for quite some time before an extremely sycophantic waiter showed up. The food was nicely presented, however, it did not taste much. On top of that my wifes cod seemed overcooked. I will not come here again.

Location is fantastic just across Central Park , dining room is chic and confortable with good acoustics. Service is excellent and not intrusive and the food is very good. A few weeks ago I took my aunt out to dinner at Marea and the food was just as delicious and the service perfect just as I remembered. Marea is and continues to be my favorite restaurant in NYC.

Comfortable room, sophisticated and professional service, a wide variety of choices, both fish and pasta. Beautiful onyx bar. The soft shell crab appetizer, orchiette pasta with tomato, and whole branzini were all superb. The risotto creamy and perfectly cooked. In these days of inflated NYC prices, the $99 prix fixe dinner is good value. Delicious.

I love dining at Marea. The dining room is beautiful, and the food is absolutely delicious. I love that its in my neighborhood so I can dine as often as I like - a bit expensive for every day though. The pasta dish with red wine braised octopus, bone marrow, that everyone raves about - its very good.
