We had an excellent experience Sunday dinner following a play on Broadway. Service was perfect, and the food was delicious. There were 5 of us and everyone really enjoyed their meal. The chef gave us palate cleansers and the ladies were given a parting cupcake. We hope to go back soon.

We ate here mainly because it's one of the few restaurants of this quality open on a Sunday night. The food and wine were good but the ambiance less than relaxing. It was very cramped, the tables are very close together and it was impossible to avoid overhearing conversations on the surrounding tables.

Amazing pastas and seafood. Dining room is beautiful and service was good. We've been here several times and we'll definitely return.

Visited Marea with my friend from Europe while he was in town for the weekend. He told me it was his favorite restaurant in New York, and I have to give him credit for finding a new favorite for myself. The staff at Marea were very attentive and respectful of our time. The hosts at the front were friendly and... More

From the minute we walked in early on a Friday evening (with the wrong reservation date!), to the minute we headed for the theater, it was an exquisite experience! The Maître De extended us the best table in the dining room and George & his team matched perfect recommendations with flawless, attentive service! The fixed price four course menu combined... More

It was my birthday trip to NYC and this restaurant I wanted to experience for my big day. I had read critic reviews on it, saw Bourdain and Zimmern rave about it so wanted a taste of it. Overall, perhaps my expectations ended up being too high? This experience did not take me over the moon. Had the service been... More

Very pretty restaurant with wonderful food. The only complaint that I have is that the tables were very close together. I heard more of others conversations than I could hear of our own. That being said it will not stop us from returning.

From start to finish every bite was wonderful. Many of the ingredients in the dishes were things I would never thought of putting together, but it all worked beautifully. The lobster and burrata salad was great. The salt baked branzino was perfect, moist and flavorful. Service was attentive without being overpowering. It was nice to be able to carry on... More

Excellent cuisine in New York; just close to Central Park and Columbus Circle. Top Seafood/Italian Menu ( 2 Star Michelin) but the menu goes far beyond of that. Elegant atmosphere and Service. Wine List Could be better. Early booking it's a must.

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
