Girls foodie weekend in NYC topped off with a fabulous meal at Marea. Menu large enough to ensure a variety of choices, but not over whelming. Each plate beautifully composed and full of beautiful flavour combinations. (The foie appetizer is a must have.) But enough about the food. It was the service that made the meal special. Kudos to our... More

Surprise in Central Park, the Tide is an excellent restaurant serving Italian-inspired features, I did not know before you get into it, well 2 Michelin stars. Local level, tables a bit dense but well presented. Charter of the sea, a remarkable selection of raw fish. Optimum pasta with home made presentations of high quality. Sea bass baked in salt exceptional,... More

We chose this placed based on a local's (Upper East Side) recommendation. The restaurant is beautiful and the service impeccable. The food didn't quite live up to the rest, but it was good and fresh. Would go back, but it is far from my favorite, especially given the prices.

25th Wedding Anniversary trip to New York, we had this restaurant recommended by a friend from Washington so visited on our actual anniversary. Taxi driver was surprised we knew about it - very much favoured by the locals for special occasions and "not many out-of-towners find it". Service from all staff was perfect, especially Mark our waiter. Red wine list... More

Marea is certainly expensive, but it's worth every penny. My husband and I planned a trip into NYC to visit a museum and decided to have lunch here after seeing a segment on The Food Network. The meal lived up to our expectations. They have a wide variety of fresh oysters, which we enjoyed, and an innovative menu of appetizers... More

Everything is very good and well organized. Food, environment, service all near to excellent. Only the money for value analogy has to be improved.

Marea is one of those restaurants that you just can't say no to. You know by the end of dinner it will cost you half the gross national product but you just don't care. The food is incredibly fresh and very innovative. The service is efficient and friendly and the atmosphere is elegant without being stuffy. Actually they recommend the... More

My family went here for lunch after hearing the legend of the octopus fusilli. It did not disappoint. The food was delicious. Unfortunately, the experience was curbed a bit by a rude and impatient host. I would return again and hope that he has been let go.

On the recommendation of a friend, we chose to dine at Marea. We thought food was wonderful-gnocchi with shrimp were perfection. We shared the Branzino and were not disappointed. Our waiter was great and service was attentive. My one negative comment was that we were seated on the bar side of the restaurant-our table was next to a small serving... More

Amazing for business dinner, efficient and courteous service. Food is simply amazing. Also great for solo dinners at the bar. The best is for me the pasta.
