Our first time but not our last time. Our 50th wedding anniversary celebration dinner was a total success. Every dish was fabulous but the charred octopus appetizer was in a class by itself and as part of a four course dinner for $99 in NYC's #3 restaurant (amazing). The pasta with clams was superb, the sea bass perfection, the dessert... More

The food was amazing, the service was good and they have an interesting wine list. I had the black sea bass and it was one of the best sea bass I had in NYC. However, this place is not trendy or romantic. It has a very old New York feel. You will find yourself dinning next to many executives and... More

I don't usually drink Manhattans, but when I decide to next, I'll probably go back here. Very swanky spot - great place to grab drinks by Central Park.

I came here based on a recommendation by friends and Ordered what was recommended by the waiter and these are yummy recommendations. Perfect for a summer evening. The astice starter was fresh and tasty. The strozzapreti was flavorful. The dessert completed my evening. The service is not pretentious and completely friendly. Very much a relaxing atmosphere. Would try to make... More

Marea was a recommendation by the concierege at the St. Regis. Although we were looking for a more traditional italien menu the food was amazing (mostly seafood). The atmosphere and service were both excellent and I found the menu price reasonable. Obviously the wine list is geared to match the menu but I found it dificult to find something I... More

Was thrilled to finally have a table at the Marea. Tried twice earlier but the restaurant is booked many days in advance and I usually come to New York three to four days top. I'm a little disappointed tough. We had the 8 courses tasting menu which is, by the way not that expensive. Wine is at contrary very expensive.... More

Try the pasta with octopus and bone marrow (best dish of the table), balsamic lentils and try the pear dessert.

Can't find a fault with this restaurant at all... The wine list has a "few" bargains, but you have to search them out. The menu is a tad confusing...so if it is your first visit, ask for help.
