This was my second time at Marea, both times after seeing the Nutcracker at the Lincoln Center. The food is delicious and the menu selection is varied and vast, with lots of options especially for gluten-free diners (I didn't chose it but they make their own gluten free pasta). The food was, once again, very tasty and well presented and... More

This is a "must go to" spot. The food is excellent, the atmospher is good. Highly recommend reserving weeks in advance at least until the next trendy spot opens and takes it's place.

Pleased at the ease of making reservations. . . . We arrived and were immediately attended to and seated for dinner. Ordered white truffle pasta, the steak, sole and the prawns. Everyone was pleased with their meals. The sole was crispy with choice of 4 sauces (light lemon sauce was my choice). The steak was huge and amazing. Cooked to... More

It's not easy to make a review of double Michelin starred restaurant. I'm so lucky to have eaten in many great and award-winning restaurants. All outstanding but someone with an edge over others. Marea is one of these!

Great food, excellent location and professional service at Marea! We had the lunch menu which is very affordable - $47 for 2 courses and dessert at around $15. The antipasti was great - the octopus and the ricotta with beets. Pasta was perfect and the classical Affogato for dessert - what does a man need more...

We booked well ahead as it was close to Christmas. I had raw sardines on fragile cucumber slices. Tasty but a minute portion for $20.00. The roasted monkfish was slightly undercooked. My husband had excellent oysters, a pasta and red snapper. The latter was excellent but he still had room for dessert. Portions are small. Espresso was excellent.

Absolutely one of my best meals ever. Great location, excellent service and the food, oh my, the food. We started with the must have Ricci (Sea Urchin on toast with Lardo), the razor clams, langoustine and big eye tuna. The Ricci is one of the best things you will ever taste, it is simply sublime. The other starters had an... More

There was a mix up with our booking at Chef's Table Brooklyn Fare. All dressed up and no where to go, we decided to drop into Marea. Pleasantly, they found a table for us well dressed walk-in and the evening was saved. Food was fabulous as one would expect for this 2-star Michelin diner. My favourite was the Bomboloni dessert,... I came here with my husband while in New York in 2013. I looked up Anthony Bourdian to check what he would recommend and in one article he mentions marea and I had to try it. The dinning room is luxurious with impressive table settings. The food was seafood and my I say the best octopus was served here. They... More
