We will be back

Very pretty restaurant with wonderful food. The only complaint that I have is that the tables were very close together. I heard more of others conversations than I could hear of our own. That being said it will not stop us from returning.

From start to finish every bite was wonderful. Many of the ingredients in the dishes were things I would never thought of putting together, but it all worked beautifully. The lobster and burrata salad was great. The salt baked branzino was perfect, moist and flavorful. Service was attentive without being overpowering. It was nice to be able to carry on... More

Excellent cuisine in New York; just close to Central Park and Columbus Circle. Top Seafood/Italian Menu ( 2 Star Michelin) but the menu goes far beyond of that. Elegant atmosphere and Service. Wine List Could be better. Early booking it's a must.

Such amazing tastes at Marea! We went for late dinner and had very attentive service from the moment we stepped in until we left. The cocktails were sophisticated and strong, although a bit pricey. I had scallops, which were so tender, and my boyfriend had the sea bass following our waiter's suggestion and it was perfectly cooked! The waiter also... More

This is a very good restaurant, crowded on weekends, so make a reservation a few days in advance. The bar is quite large and there were several people eating on a Saturday night. The menu is very creative, I had a sushi starter that was very fresh and a solid blend of flavors. Entree fish is very well prepared and... More

I visited Marea twice this week both for lunch, once on business and the other with my wife. It has 2 star Mchelin, even though relative to Thye other 2 starts I have been, Marea rates 1.5 stars in my hooks. Pluses: location on central park south near Columbus circle, very good. Crudo, or raw fish is always outstanding here.... More

If you and your party are willing to step outside of your comfort zone...there may not be a better place. The service is accommodating yet a little pretentious which is to be expected in such a setting especially considering the volume of people in the place. The food is unlike anything I have ever had. Words cannot describe the beauty... More

We were walking down Central South and decided to walk in without looking at a review. Wow. We loved the place, food was excellent and the service was superb. Couldn't have asked for a better place to eat. A must visit place for great food and atmosphere.

Having dined at other one and two star Michelin restaurants, Marea doesn't quite cut it. I am not sure it even merits one star. It is mainly let down by diffident service. The fish was very good but not the excellent we were expecting in a restaurant of this category. Ending the meal with two or three scoops of ice... More

Stunning restaurant on one of manhattans swankiest streets, just across from Central Park. Extremely well dressed classy crowd.. The service top notched, very professional and very friendly. Oh! Victoria had the Bistecca, a steak to die for :) I had the Capesante, Sea Scallops cooked to perfection. Fine cocktails and I had also had a beer brewed in Brooklyn (my... More

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
