After making reservations elsewhere for 8:30pm Christmas Eve dinner, we showed up and were told that the kitchen was closed and we wouldn't be seated. So, despondent and facing the possibility of microwave frozen food for dinner, we started walking around to see if anything might be open. Fortunately, Serge's was. When we stopped to check out the menu, an... More

I enjoyed my meal at this small French bistro. Felt perfectly comfortable eating there by myself. Each dish was well prepared and delicious. The wait staff was courteous and attentive. While the meal cost more than I would usually spend, I'm likely to return because the atmosphere, and quality of food and service were so good.

Based on some reviews, we had diner on saturday night at Serge. Maybe it was already late (9pm) or maybe we were not so lucky, but we had to wait for two very simple plates (cheeseburger and quiche) for more than 50 min...too much for hungry people...cheeseburger was ordinary and the quiche was too greasy and chewy. The service was... More

We walked in at 8.15pm on a Saturday night and had plenty of table options. The service was pleasant. The food solid but not spectacular. My wife's foie GRAS and my Creme brûlée were both very good but the onion soup and coqau vin were both just good. Well priced and very affordable. In a city that has lots of... More

This is the best place! My husband and I have eaten here several times. Great food and service. The people are very friendly and welcoming. Best atmosphere-feels like you're in Paris.

Serge is located on Madison Avenue between 32nd and 33rd. The food was absolutely fabulous. Amongst my friends and myself, we had an array of different food which we all tasted. They have great pricing especially their all in one which includes everything from appetizer through dessert for under $30! You can't go wrong here!

We enjoyed a delicious dinner at Serge. There was a good selection of traditional French dishes including Frogs Legs for those who like to try something unusual. Apart from the great food, service and entertainment was provided by Serge himself.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
