Must try the waygu steak!

My daughter and I wanted to try this restaurant after seeing the show "restaurant steak out". We have been searching for authentic japanese waygu and they have it here. $125 for a large 8 ounce steak and it was hands down the best steak I've ever eaten. We also had the Mac and cheese and sautéed... read more

We visited Uncle Jack's on our most recent trip to NYC. This was one of the best steakhouses we've been to in NYC. We are so glad we finally made it in! Our waiter, Andrei, was fantastic! He was very knowledgeable of the menu and very attentive. We started with a seasonal pasta, and it was great. We split a... More

In the middle of midtown Manhattan, this very fancy restaurant offers different kind of choices of meat, to be associatesi with different options of red wine... We had a private room for a work meeting...everything worked out very well !

8 of us ate here for dinner, the food was just amazing, the staff were friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable of the food and menu served. The restaurant it's self looked good too and had a great atmosphere and buzz about it. We would all definitely return next time we visit NYC.

I heard about Uncle Jacks from the Food Network, and I just had to try it. The environment was great, and the staff was super friendly. The prices are a little on the high side, and was quite disappointed. However the meat deserves the price. Greatly prepared the Boneless NY Strip, was worth every penny. It was tender and juicy.... It was my friends birthday. We were convent school mates many years ago. I was in town for a few days. We went to uncle jacks's. The service was wonderful, the Rack of lanb was fabulous. They brought her a complimentary birthday mousse cake with a candle. They sang Happy Birthday. She blew out the candle. We felt like kids... More

Visited Uncle Jack's for lunch on a Friday afternoon. Great kick-off to our weekend in New York. Excellent Sandwiches - The filet burger and the piggly wiggly was to die for, as well as the specialty fries. We loved it so much we went back for lunch before leaving the city on Sunday. Excellent service, great atmosphere!

I would have rated them “excellent”, had I not eaten in such superior steak places like Kean’s (my preferred in Manhattan) or Smith & Wollensky (separate reviews for both). The steaks at Uncle Jack’s, I think, are not aged enough: they still carry that flavor of raw meat, even when cooked Medium. Other than that, the Porterhouse for two was... More

I will start by saying if you put yourself on TV as the best restaurant for service levels you are asking to be put under a microscope. That being said our meal was good, nothing I would write home about or seek out again, but nothing inherently disappointing about it. The steak sandwich was cooked well and tasted good but... More

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
