We didn't have a reservation on saturday night but they had a table for 5 available and thank goodness they did. We chose a Porterhouse 45oz between 4 of us with 5 side dishes and each of them were delicious. From the huge chips to the creamed spinach and the sautéed broccoli and the very creamy mash. The New york... More

Our first time to experience Uncle Jack's came when we stayed in New York for a quick get-away. Nice atmosphere, an easy walk from our hotel on 6th ave., and excellent menu selections. Service was attentive but not intrusive. We had the small filet mignon and our friends tried the larger porterhouse. They told us it was better than Peter... More

Booked a table for 2 online on the day easily for our wedding anniversary on Sunday 7th September. the restaurant was less than half full but the atmosphere was old school and comfortable. Like many others I knew of Uncle Jack's from TV in the UK so decided to try out their motto of top drawer customer service. It did... More

Food is o,k, The owner is on a tv show and has a big mouth and tells others about their staff. Needs to check his own. I know steakhouses in New York are prone to hiring OLD men as servers and bartenders but, this is ridiculous. They are really rude a mean. I use to have a drink in there... More

Steak cooked to perfection. Dry aged beef. Baked potato was cooked perfect as well as was huge. Fresh, hard butter. Old speakeasy feel to the place. Would forego appetizers as they tend to be skimpy yet expensive. We got 4 large shrimp for $20. Steak runs you $50 but is worth it. We wore nice shorts and golf shirt -... More

My husband and I visited Uncle Jack's (midtown) to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary. After looking at all of the steakhouses in NYC my husband decided to make reservations at Uncle Jack's. We are fans of Restaurant Stakeout and wanted to see if Willie's place could "walk the walk." We had 8:00 reservations on Friday night and arrived around 7:15ish.... More

This place is fabulous! Don't pass it up. The steak and lobster mac and cheese were outstanding. The bar is perfect in every way as well. Definitely a 5 star restaurant.

This place reminded me of the old time Italian restaurants in San Francisco. Our waiter was fantastic - very professional. We were there for lunch. I had the 3 tacos and a side of broccoli; my husband had the meatloaf. The shrimp taco was excellent, the other 2 were ok; my husband's meatloaf was also excellent. The broccoli was bitter... More

I visited Uncle Jack's a couple of weeks ago because of a package I bought through Groupon. I've frequented their Bayside location for several years but it was my first time at the Midtown restaurant. I agree with Traveldiva that the decor of the restaurant makes you feel like you've stepped back in time. I personally love that. I've been... More
