Last night, on a whim, being very curious about Willie Degel's approach to customer service after seeing his approach on "Restaurant Stakeout", my guy and I booked a table at Uncle Jack's midtown. Our reservation was for 8pm, we arrived right on time. We were seated at 835 (35 minutes late) with no apology as we were taken to our... More

Went to Uncle jacks after our wedding on Gapstow Bridge ( Central Park). It was within walking distance although we managed to get the limo from The Plaza hotel to take us for free :). Anyway steaks were 1st class and the service also. Great day and meal.

The porterhouse steak at Uncle Jack's was sooooooo good. We also had the steam broccoli, mashed potatoes with bacon added, as suggested by our waiter. The broccoli was excellent. We were not disappointed by any of the food; even the breads in the bread basket were delicious. The service was great. Uncle Jack's definitely gives Peter Luger's some competition!

My wife and I went here to reward some amazingly helpful cousins pre-theater, and it was perhaps the best steakhouse experience i have ever had, and i have had hundreds. The service was always top notch but not obtrusive, and the quality of the meat and preparation was simply the best. The mac and cheese - the best my wife... More

I was there last night. What a mistake. I had purchased a Groupn for $99.It was supposed to entitle you to 2 appetizers $24 each, 2 salads $14 each, 2 side dishes $12 each etc. That is NOT what you get. They give you a special menu in which they limit you on your choices, and the options are not even... More

I enjoyed the Steak tartar in combination with the wasabi. The ribeyesteak also was delicious The manager is costumer minded and will not... More

We needed a good meal on a rainy night and this was only a few blocks away from our hotel. I had filet mignon which was perfect. Wonderful ambiance with upper end food. $35-$45 for most entrees. Our only complaint was losing one of our umbrellas from the umbrella stand, although they said they would watch it. On the other... More

We went to this restaurant on a group on certificate to see if we would like it. The food was very good. Service was efficient, but the restaurant had not ambiance. It was in a very touristy area, which was ok, but something did not feel like I was in a steak house.

As fans of Willie Degel's Restaurant Stakeout, a buddy from work and I traveled 2 1/2 hours to experience "the greatest service in the world" on a Saturday at 6 pm. We had a distinguished, grey haired gentleman with glasses on the 2nd floor. He was professional and attentive. He immediately asked if we had to make a show, and... More

We recently had a most wonderful Saturday lunch at the bar, at this most wonderful and welcoming Manhattan gem. Our bartender/server, Ritchie, was most attentive and couldn't do enough to keep us happy. The food was fabulous and the entire experience would bring us back in a New York second!!
