Just FYI....it closed in May. Daughter lives in the area and saw a for rent sign. She inquired and her doorman said that they closed in May. Too bad. It was a good restaurant with nice owners. Hopefully they open somewhere else in the city.

Padre Figlio is an average, good enough Italian restaurant but it charges ridiculously high amounts for what it serves. We were not impressed by the service either- We had to look out for the server repeatedly when we needed something. Therefore, my friend and I were quite surprised to see that the bill, which already included an 18% tip, had... More

I guess the title says it all. Good food and good service = good restaurant, right? Well, if this is all that matters to you, go to Padre Figlio. You'll get plenty of both. If you care about other things .... read on. Padre Figlio is a nice place on the east side. The decor is a little rustic, but,... More

Excellent food, and atmosphere. In addition to the diverse and large menu, the specials of the evening were amazing: at least 4 special salads; at least two fish dishes, meat dishes, etc. Just listening to the long list of special dishes taxes one's memory. Desserts were unimaginative: cheese cake, chocolate cake, cream brulee, sorbet and ice cream. About 9:00 PM... More

I was in New York City over the Valentine's Day weekend with my husband and daughter. We bought a Travel Zoo coupon for Padre Figlio prior to our trip and were looking forward to an excellent meal. In fact, the food was "not bad", (although our meat was underdone twice! and we actually couldn't eat most of it),and the waiters... More

I was in NYC over Christmas and new year on my own at the hotel opposite. As soon as I went in for the first time the staff were incredibly friendly, and then when the food came out (promptly) I was completely blown away by how good it was. Do not listen to the bad reviews, they're all lies! You... More

I visited Padre Figlio with a friend for the second time because we had both purchased Groupons for a 3 course meal for two for $59. While the Groupon meal was a special limited menu, it included their amazing chateaubriand for two -- nicely served with potatoes and asparagus. I started with clams oreganata and my friend smoked salmon. We... More

Having my Mother and her Friend in town, I was trying to find a classy place in Manhattan that I could go to with my wife and daughters to enjoy a festive meal as well as a pleasant, easy going atmosphere....And being in the Restaurant business I am often disappointed in getting the cordial personal touch that I try to... We go to Padre Figlio often, enjoying the food, service & entertainment, but last Saturday night was one to be remembered. There were a few large tables of parties, all very lively, which made it even more fun.The entertainers fed off the enthusiasm of the crowd, and Danny Nye, a fabulous entertainer who sings in several languages, had a song for...
