tasted their food during restaurant week and I must say the food was excellent, great portion and fresh. Atmosphere was great. Service was ok, when it gets busy, it takes the waiter/waitress 10 minutes to get back to us.

Good ambience but food just not that great. We've had better steaks in small towns we've visited. Just too expensive for quality of food.

After checking into our hotel in Midtown, we asked the concierge for a restaurant within walking distance, no dress code and that was reasonably priced. She sent us to Bobby Van's Steakhouse. Yes, it was an easy walk and yes, their was no dress code. However, our idea of reasonably priced and hers was vastly different. We split an appetizer... More

I recently visited this steak house with my husband and was very impressed with my delicious Filet Mignon dinner. Cooked to order -and sides of potatoes and vegetable were quite good. Friendly atmosphere and we were not rushed at all. Would highly recommend!!

Really have got to enjoy the Bobby Van's Steakhouse chain! This was our first time eating at a Bobby Van's in NYC and enjoyed a table of 4 in celebration of a family member's 50th birthday. We took our own champagne and were happy to pay the small corkage fee. The steaks were, as expected, absolutely excellent! The service was... More

I went for restaurant week on a Friday night expecting some very good food, but sadly, it was not meant to be. Best part of meal: tomato and mozzarella appetizer. My boyfriend ordered a beef and mashed potato entree, which he said was bland. I had the chicken marsala over rice. I was expecting cut up chicken over the rice,... More

We enjoyed a fabulous meal - steak was the order of the day and if there was any tips to give - beware the huge size of the starter which made us truly struggle on the steaks which were very succulent T-bones. Great very friendly service made for an excellent evening during our short stay in the Big Apple with... More

Business dinner while in NYC with five people, on local recommendation. Noisy and crowded (as almost everything in this part of Manhattan will be), but food was very 'chain' and low level at that. Chicken Parmigiana would feed a family, more turkey sized than chicken : positively daunting. Gorgonzola steak was overly salty, obviously seasoned and cooked as normal then... More
