Sophistication on the Seventh Floor of Bergdorf Goodman with afternoon into evening Central Park views. BG is a modern interpretation of the aristocratic social salon. Like a Park Avenue residence from the age of cosmopolitan glamour. Well-appointed and bright, the drawing room atmosphere is an intimate conversational setting for lunch, tea and early supper or cocktails. The light and sparkling menu is a modern take on classic New York fare.

Nice but overpriced

Party of 3 went for afternoon tea , beautiful location, decor was very subtle and the "whispering chairs " all add to the ambience. The teas were lovely I had the Jardin Bleu and the others Breakfast tea,the sandwiches and savouries however were minimal ,we were never asked did we want anything... read more

We really expected more of a luxury place like this one!! To start with, although we made a reservation, we had to wait about 15-20 minutes for our table. I mean, why did I make a reservation for? After that we wait about 10 minutes for the waitress to come. We ordered and after 10 minutes they bring tea and... More

Charming spot. Adorable chic interior. Overlooking Central Park. Fabulous for brunch or lunch - lovely selection of salads and bubbly by glass. If you didn't make a reservation, you might get a seat at the bar. An absolute must visit while shopping at BG.

Situated on the 7th floor of Bergdorf, this is just a place to visit for a spot off tea with the ladies. Old fashioned, yes - but also very charming. Get a table by the window for the coveted Central Park view. If you are not a New Yorker, you may just feel like one at this place. The elegant... More

Located on the 7th floor of Bergdorf Goodman, this place is an oasis of calm and gentility! If you're planning a shopping day in NYC, this is a wonderful spot to go for a relaxing lunch or maybe enjoy their traditional tea time. It's pricy, yes...and worth it because the food is great and it's more than a meal, it's... More

My wife and I had a champagne afternoon tea here recently. We were given a very nice seat by the window overlooking Central Park. Our waiter Scott was very good , he took our order and had the food delivered and did not hover over us but was there when we needed him. The sandwich bread was not fresh and... More

The dining room was picture-perfect - all in duck egg blue, with lovely little tables for 2 with the clamshell chairs that we coveted , and had an art deco twenties feel that seamlessly complemented its setting overlooking Central Park and the store itself. Despite the white coated staff it also managed not to be formal – everyone was charming... More

What a beautiful place to come for lunch The first impression is top class, but sometimes that outward appearance makes it more difficult to please! Ordered bloody Mary which was good, but very small and served in a very basic high ball glass which I didn't expect. Food in general excellent. Service was good but let down by waiters bringing... We stopped in for brunch at Bergdorf's before starting our day of shopping in the city. Thankfully we made reservations a week in advance because otherwise we would have waited a long time for a table. The decor and views of Central Park are not to be missed. Start with a Peach Bellini if you're in the mood for champagne.... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
