On a recent visit to Greenwich Village, I wanted to take friends to one or the other of my two favorite restaurants in the area. Sad to discover both had closed. Asked my smartphone if there was good Italian restaurant nearby, and L'Artusi came up as the top choice. We went there, and had a terrific meal. Imaginative, creative dishes,... More

An affordable wine list, an excellent sommelier Catharine, and food to die for. This is not an over the top typical Italian place. There is a huge modern American influence, the chef doesn't seem to have stuck to hardcore Italian and that's what makes the food better. Small plate pastas which include a Spaghetti Aglio Olio with bread crumbs and... More

We were apart of a very large group grabbing brunch, we called ahead for a reservation and from what I have heard, you should call ahead if having brunch. Everything was absolutley delicious from the breads/muffins to the eggs and french toast. Definatly be back in the future!

Our meal and experience at L'Artusi was really very good indeed. The gin martini I started with was one of the best I've had anywhere. Beets salad and roasted mushroom appetisers were flavoursome and well presented. Our server was very pleasant, unobtrusive and knowledgable, recommending wines perfectly matched with our food. Our pasta was excellent - perfectly cooked and full... More

Everything that we had was fantastic! We sat upstairs and the wait staff (many of them) were quite attentive. We enjoyued our waiter dan the best. He was patient and thourough in his explaination of each dish. The kithcen also gave us some very tasty tastes on the house. We had this 'to die for' homemade ricotta with blueberry jam... More

If you are a tourist, forget about the chain crap in times square, get down to L'Artusi for a delicious pasta meal. Came here with a group of friends, had some salads to start, the sausage pasta for main, and the olive oil cake for desert. This whole meal was so great from start to finish. The price is not... We have had dinner at L'Artusi three or four times over the past few years. My wife had always been away on business in the past so we decided to have a belated anniversary celebration with some good friends who also have their anniversary in early June. We scheduled a late dinner is as not to feel rushed. We brought... More

The buttermilk cracker appetizer was great! The butter leaf lettuce salad was tasty, It was a high energy place - 1st floor and loft seating - cute bar! Meal was excellent, would have given 5 stars- the upstairs section was quite warm - crank the A/C to fix that!
