Good food, nice atmosphere

I came here for a dinner during my weekend in NYC. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxing, and the service professional. A belgian style brasserie, with a choice of imported beers - I tried a Petra from Corsica, very nice - and food. I spent around 50-55 USD for a starter, a main course and a beer... read more

It looks nice in decor, it is not cramped in space, but somehow, it is noisy, and cold. One door was opened in midday, in February. The waitress appeared to look down on my friend who asked a question regarding the menu, as if it was a stupid question. She was condescending. The waiters/servers were not much better, never a... I was early arriving to a nearby hotel and my room wasn't ready. The front desk recommended Cognac as it was close and, if I showed them my room key, I would get a discount. I ordered the burger with bleu cheese - it was very mediocre and (even with a discount) way overpriced. I know I was in NYC... More

This is an attractive French bistro (They also have what seems to be a more refined restaurant on the East Side which I have not tried.).The space is broken into sections which kept it quiet particularly for our early pre-theater dinner when many tables were still vacant. The service was pleasant, attentive and quick. The food was well prepared and... More

We stopped for lunch at this delightful bistro. We had a fine octopus salad and a wonderful tuna tart. The tart had the most delicate crust and perfect thin slices of tuna. They also have an extensive list of wines by the glass.

We had Christmas Dinner at this delightful French Restaurant not far from our hotel and it was one of the best meals we had in NYC. The food is top class and the prices reasonable; we had a main and dessert each + one beverage each for 6 adults all for under US$400. The range of mains was very good;... More

We stopped in for what we thought was going to be "a quick snack and drink". Instead, we with delighted to eat a really good meal with a terrific bottle of '05 Burgundy at a reasonable price. Jeremy, our server and his team were great.

Was seeking a light French lunch before theatre. Ordered the roasted beet salad and the Cognac Salad Nicoise that was customized with a minor change without batting a eye. Adequate by-the-glass wine list. Smooth cafe au lait to finish. Will return.

In my previous review of this large eatery on the northern fringe of the Times Square neighborhood I said that we would return, and we did. On this second visit we were not as happy with our meals, although we ate outside on the sidewalk, which is something we enjoy. I ordered beef bourguignon which was not at all like... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
