Good food, average service

My wife and I visited during the winter and were unfortunately sat right next to the front door. It was freezing - brrr! We quickly moved to another table when it opened up and I recommend you do the same. The food was very tasty though, but the service was slow and my wife's dinner actually came... read more

I come to this restaurant every time I'm in New York and I've never been disappointed. The service has been on the slower side a time or two in the past but never to the point I would complain about it. The servers themselves have always been very friendly and helpful with suggestions. The food has always been delicious, no... More

Regional is located on the Upper West Side. It has a warm and inviting atmosphere with friendly waitstaff and a terrific menu. The pasta dishes are always well prepared and the wine and beer list offer many good choices. The prices are reasonable and the service is usually very good. A nice place for dinner. Hope this review helps.

We chose this place strictly for proximity to Symphony Space, having been disappointed by the Thai restaurant across from the theater. Regional was a great find. Unbeknownst to us, Monday is Pasta Night -- all pastas $9! We enjoyed the pappardelle w/beef and the lemon linguini with shrimp (not a generous amount of shrimp, but they were fresh). One glass... We often go to the Symphony Space on 95th and Broadway and wanted to find a nice, reasonable restaurant with out door seating that was on Open Table. The first time we dined there was a warm summer night and I wanted something light . I had the beet salad and my husband had a pasta which was so good... More

The food is about average, the salads are fresh but the meat is often overcooked for what you asked. The dip for the bread is awful. The bartender is usually nice but the wait staff is too bored to bother with you, and too busy chatting with each other. But the worst thing about this restaurant is that they close... More

Went to dinner last Friday night. I had salad with goat cheese and the sole special. It was delicious. The service was good, but not spectacular--which I wasn't expecting. My friend had a salad and a pasta dish , which she seemed to enjoy. If you are looking for a neighborhood spot, I recommend.

We were apt. sitting in the area and went walking to find some place to eat. We decided to give this place a try. I am one that likes to try something I have never had before. I tried the Strozzapreti al ragú di vitello (Emilia Romagna) twisted fresh pasta in creamy veal ragú. This was my first time having... More

My wife and I went ---- on Mondays they offer a "special" -- any pasta dish for $9 (instead of the usual $14 to $16). She and I agreed that on a scale of 1 to 10 our pasta dishes were no more than a "5." The server/service was indifferent (though not unpleasant). We hadn't been to Regional in over... More
