It may be in the Upper West Side, but this cosy and quaint restaurant is a gem. Friendly and good service all round, with regional Italian cuisine that would please most critics.

During the summer months it's a great spot to eat and watch the world walk by at one of the outdoor tables. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. The food is delicious, the wine list impressive and since I live only a block away, it is quickly becoming my "go-to" for dinner. The outdoor seating is situated under a... More

Service has always been a problem at Regional. This time, we gave up and just got up & left. After standing at the entrance, we were (eventually) greeted by someone who: (a) spoke no English; (b) never heard of Open Table (we had made a reservation; and (c) gestured to the dining room. We seated ourselves. Over 10 minutes later,... More

I really enjoyed the gnocchi with read sauce and fresh mozzarella. I would return for this alone. Very cozy place with a warm welcome feel. Pastas are $9.99 on Mondays - eat in only. My only small complaint was the ice tea was $3.50 each and mostly ice. I have lived in NYC a long time and do not get... More

My wife and I visited during the winter and were unfortunately sat right next to the front door. It was freezing - brrr! We quickly moved to another table when it opened up and I recommend you do the same. The food was very tasty though, but the service was slow and my wife's dinner actually came out cold. It's... I come to this restaurant every time I'm in New York and I've never been disappointed. The service has been on the slower side a time or two in the past but never to the point I would complain about it. The servers themselves have always been very friendly and helpful with suggestions. The food has always been delicious, no... More

Regional is located on the Upper West Side. It has a warm and inviting atmosphere with friendly waitstaff and a terrific menu. The pasta dishes are always well prepared and the wine and beer list offer many good choices. The prices are reasonable and the service is usually very good. A nice place for dinner. Hope this review helps.

We chose this place strictly for proximity to Symphony Space, having been disappointed by the Thai restaurant across from the theater. Regional was a great find. Unbeknownst to us, Monday is Pasta Night -- all pastas $9! We enjoyed the pappardelle w/beef and the lemon linguini with shrimp (not a generous amount of shrimp, but they were fresh). One glass...
