Nice Asian Dinner

I brought my mum to NYC and stayed at the MO. So for the first night, we had a light dinner of bento dim sum comprising 3 vege (not Chinese but tis okay) dumplings, 3 har kow (very authentic, skin paper thin) and 3 (sort of) meat dumplings (again nice thin skin and quite lovely), Korean seafood... read more

I met my friend for drinks, and fortunately we had looked at the menu online so were prepared for the prices. $22 for a cocktail. $19 for a well drink. They give you complimentary nibbles of almonds and what amounts to about 8 miniscule potato chips to share for the table. The views actually make it worth the splurge, at... More

Great place for a sophisticated cocktail and to be pampered by the wonderful servers. Very attentive care and exceptional wine list. Cheers!

Event though we had to wait for 15 minutes to be seated I would say it was worth it ! The view is great, the seats/sofas were very comfortable and roomy. Good choice of drinks and snacks. The cheese plate was good and the Tune tartare was fresh. I would definitely recommend checking it out.

The positives: views are stunning. Champagne and wine decent ( but then you are paying for it) The negatives: the service in general was quite simply poor bordering on negligent. We ordered a first round of drinks with chilled water. No water arrived. Eventually when we did catch the waiter (he walked past with his head down most of the... More

Great views and a good place to have a drink with your couple, cocktails are normal ( ginger mojito is correct but for me is better the classic ones), price is in the rates of NY for this kind of places.

I was excited to make this visit during my stay in NYC because I remember it being a great experience a few years ago. I was not overly impressed with the way our high tea went. We were lucky enough to get a table without reserving but did have to wait for 30 minutes which was of no fault of... More

Whilst on vacation in NYC, we decided to take a long walk through Central Park. We found ourselves outside the Mandarin Oriental and took a peek through the window into the main lobby. The concierge beckoned us inside and suggested that if we wanted a wonderful view, we should take the elevator up to the 35th floor. We were in... More

Totally work the $25 parking charge and more than that for two drinks. The view is absolutely off the charts- go go go!!

Afternoon tea menu was not the best I've had, but the view from the Lobby lounge is spectacular. Definately worth the visit. I do recommend table reservation as the place is very popular.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
