The views!!!

If you are near Central Park, make sure to stop by the Mandarin Oriental for an afternoon tea. The views of central park are so beautiful. I was there while New York was covered in snow and it looked amazing. The food is good too but the the views are the best part for sure!

Went here with my girlfriends 1/31/15 for a 3pm tea service reservation. I arrived 15 minutes early and after being seated the waitress immediately came up to warn be about a 5pm event they would be having in the lobby which seemed quite rude if you ask me. I was pretty much tricked into choosing any ole tea while I... More

Drinks and snacks were very good, roughly $20 each, but you are really paying for the incredible view of Central Park.

To get a res, you have to be a hotel guest. But often times, you may be accommodated "off the street." The view is spectacular, the food delicious (but very expensive). I always get the wonton soup which is the best ever. I add the entire side of spicy sauce which really kicks up the heat and makes it taste... More

Met friends here for a late dinner. We were told by the hostess that we couldn't get a window table as those are reserved for hotel guests, which defeated the purpose of coming to Lobby Lounge, as it was mainly for the view. Having said that, the view at night is not that great as Central Park is almost completely... More

A good place to kill time and see the goings-on in the 35th floor lobby. Oh they also serve light bites of peking duck?

Our hotel concierge booked a tea for us here for my birthday but something got lost in translation and when we arrived the hostess told us that the reservation was made for a lunch and not a tea. I was so disappointed because this was what I had chosen as my birthday 'activity' and it was our last hurrah before... More

This afternoon tea was different from what I'm used to in the UK - even the sandwiches were fancy! Very nice though, good value and filled us up well, we didn't need to eat again for the rest of the day. A great people watching place too and the views of Central Park are amazing.

I was so excited to have tea at the Mandarin Oriental but sadly it was just a disappointment. The views were amazing, it is a really great setting, the tea itself however was not good. The food was fine however it wasn't brought on one tier so we had to start with the scones which was a bit odd. Otherwise... More
