Excellent food a little off the beaten track

My husband and I ate here last week during a long awaited trip to NY. I had one of the best cooked steaks I have ever tasted & the restaurant was out of the noisy hustle & bustle that is typical of the city. My husband had a beef stroganoff which he said was also very tasty but be warned,... read more

Made use of an Amazon Local voucher for a three course meal with a bottle of wine. The restaurant was almost empty. Only 4 tables occupied and thus a rather quiet atmosphere. The starter of calamari was average. Or the main course, I had a very average steak and my wife a rather dry grilled chicken and grilled pork loin.... More

I called numerous times to make a reservation but no one was available. I then called this evening to confirm my reservation for tomorrow. I never was so aggravated over the phone trying to get a reservation confirmed. I called and was greeted by a woman who states she was the floor manager for this evening. I explained to her... More

My husband and I were going to see a Broadway show and just wandered down on restaurant row. We past many good restaurants because we did not want a pre-fixed menu. I was limited in my choice because I could not eat bread or pasta. I ordered a chicken dish with a mushroom brown gravy served over mashed potatoes. Perfectly... More

30 years ago when we first met, my girlfriend, now my wife, went to a Brazilian restaurant near times square. It was an experience to remember. This wasn't the same place, but it was a good replacement. I had remembered having the "Bife A Cavalo" (Steak with fried egg and french fries) and asked the gentleman at the door if... More

We came here to celebrate a family birthday following a Broadway show. Little did we know that we would enjoy the experience at this small spot on Restaurant Row more than the one under the lights of Broadway. Attentive and friendly service was the icing on the cake, while the food was exceptional. We will certainly dine here again in... More

I took my mom here for her birthday. The staff from the host the bartender and the wait staff attentive friendly and kind! Food was delicious and served in a reasonable time! We had a great experience. I had the seafood combination plate for my entree and my mom had the jumbo shrimp! both delicious! Can't wait to go back!

This is a great place to eat. The food is wonderful and the service, well fabulous. The doorman made us feel welcome as we went down the steps to the entrance. The menu has a large variety of foods: it works for everyone's palate. We started with the Tapas appetizer, had the dish Picanha na Chapa, a lovely wine to... More

We brought the discount from travelzoo and went to this restaurant after the show. Service was good and food was only little above average. The portion was not big which we could have appetizer, main dish and plus dessert without feeling full. Those appetizers were little salty to our taste ( spinach salad and Tapas). The steak is nicely cooked... More

I've been to Brazil Brazil twice - once in September for my Anniversary and yesterday and I have to say both times were fantastic. I went yesterday because I purchased a Groupon and I decided to use it and the menu is extensive, although pre-fixe, it is practically like the regular menu and the wine selection is top notch. We... Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
