I would highly recommend this restaurant to people that like the mediterranean cuisine. Dishes are delicious with fresh ingredients. Olive oil and olives -the best! Baklava - super!

Ethos is a neighborhood restaurant where the food can be quite decent. But the troll of an owner completely ruins it. Stay away, or you'll risk some shocking unpleasantness. Two of us were seated outside. The owner began speaking loudly across our table to the maitre d', who was inside. Actually, he was yelling through an open window, not speaking.... More

Good food, intelligent portions, very well priced wine list. Excellent friendly service. Outside sitting OK if you don't mind traffic noise. Avoid the bread and the bar area (loud and cramped)

I can't help wondering if this restaurant has changed, or if the prices have changed. During our meal (early, weeknight) there were several parties, birthdays, etc. The result was a very loud restaurant, lights dimming and brightening, music going loud. I say this because the wait staff seemed very good at the singing and lighting and the restaurant must care... More

This restaurant was recommended by the daughter of old friends we were meeting in the city, not having seen them for 6 years. It turns out that it was a great find. The restaurant has outside seating and some big open windows, but most of the seating is inside in a cool looking but comfortable space. We were a bit... More

The fish is fresh, the service is friendly and efficient, the flavors are interesting and tasty, the wine list os reasonably priced (for the area). This place has been open for a few years and never disappoints - what an upgrade to the neighborhood from the dusty old place that was there before. Get a reservation, sit by the open... More

We waited 30 minutes to be seated but the food was well worth it, and the service very friendly. Definitely returning.

One of our favorite "go-to" spots in NYC this light, airy Haven of Hellenic Happiness never disappoints. Apps are delicious, as are the many seafood dishes offered; Chicken and lamb also completely satisfy. Desserts are complimentary: Baklava, Galactabouriko and Chocolate mousse aren't "quite" loukoumades but a welcomed sweet ending.

This was the old Havana Post restaurant. Located a few blocks from the UN. Very nice atmosphere and decor. The waitress was on point even being so busy. I had the Sea Bass outstanding. Nice house wine choice. A bit pricey but, you get what you pay for. I will come back soon.

This is the perfect Greek restaurant for lunch - bright, airy and casual - a few blocks from the U.N. Portions were generous and served promptly. Fish is a specialty, and the prix fixe a wonderful deal and delicious.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
