Having had the privilege of eating in many different restaurants this one has to be the absolute worst. The lady behind the stand taking reservations was about as helpful as an ashtray on a motorbike and one wonders what she does because she was useless when it came assisting us with the refund we deserve. The place was clean but... More

We were back again. it is a tiny little place with amazing food and service. You always feel very welcome and the food is authentic enough italian and tastes amazing. A wide choice for everybody. A very good wine list and the prices are very acceptable. As we alwys come back here when in town, so was the table beside... More

We went for a 1st seating for lunch before a show. Waiter was attentive and nice. Some items we ordered were their classics, well made with what tasted like house made pasta (spaghetti marinara, making the chunky tomatoes the star; bolognese, where the finely ground beef was not overtaken by the sauce). We also had their duck ravioli with mushrooms... More

Our very first night in New York and we ended up feeling totally ripped off and disappointed. Firstly the good stuff and the reason we gave 2 stars - New York strip perfectly cooked and a generous basket of fluffy bread. On the minus side, thick, almost inedible undercooked pasta covered in salty, gloopy sauce. The promised french fries materialised... More

On a block called restaurant row you better be damn good and this place is. Genuine northern Italian cooking served with a smile. My husband always orders a Caesar salad and for him to comment and recognize this as worthy of acknowledgement makes this one special. I had tomato and onion salad, not much you can do to this. I... This intimate Italian steakhouse is located on 46th street between 8th and 9th avenues. We had their specialty porterhouse and veal Milanese and both were outstanding. If you want to dine away from the bustle of Times Square and have an outstanding meal, Bistecca is the place to try.

Nov 26 was a cold and wet day, but we had show tickets for my wife's birthday, and as they say, the show must go on! so...we made our way into Manhattan for dinner and a show ("On the Town", which was marvelous, BTW). I had made reservations for four... my wife and I, plus my son and his wife.... More

13 ladies in our theater group went to lunch at Bestecca Florentina prior to the show. Our waiter was patient and attentive. Since we were so many women the lunches ordered were diverse. We all were amazed as to what was being served. My polenta with gorganzola in a light tomato sauce was bursting with flavor. The polenta was served... More

One of the best meals I have eaten at an Italian place. All the food was excellent, we arrived to an appetizer on the table, great service. The hot appetizers plate, as mentioned in a previous review, was delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant, very charming inside also.

We chose this restaurant at random, just walking down the street looking for somewhere to eat and checking out the menu. We shared the hot antipasto plate, full of delicious tastes and textures. My husband ordered the strip steak and declared it to be the best he has ever eaten (and he has eaten many steaks over the years) ,I... More
