Description: Welcome to the nanking restaurant to experience the hospitality of this...
Welcome to the nanking restaurant to experience the hospitality of this ancient city of China ! Nanking is a city about equal distance from Canton and Peking. In 1842, after nanking was captured by the British, Sir Henry pottinger signed the nanking treaty. What followed thereafter was an era where various eating places opened up for visitors to enjoy the hospitality of this region. The food was modified to suit the palette of the visitors to entice them to come back to these eating places. This fusion cuisine became very popular. It is our humble endeavor at nanking Restaurant to bring you the same historical fusion taste, and hospitality from ancient China. We extend a very warm welcome to you and will make every effort to make your visit enjoyable and memorable.

Someone said that you only get one chance to make a first impression and in the case of Nanking it was not such a good one. Someone else said location location location, and they have sure got that for anyone interested in finding some Asian food in the Theater District on Broadway. Firstly, we could not understand why loud and... More

This place is the best place to eat Chinese food, very clean and so tasty. The portions are not big though and the price is not cheap.

We stopped in for dinner and were not disappointed with the food. Portions were just right - not overwhelming. Food was very tasty. The atmosphere was a little strange with some Spanish rap playing but I guess it's fusion, right? The wait staff fulfilled their requirements. If you like attentive servers, this is not a place for you. They did... More

I don't usually like fusion places; however, the food was tasty, the service was great, and they kept giving us free food. Highly recommended.

So so food. The lamb was quite bland and bad. Very disappointing. To top it all an 18% tip was automatically added to our bill. We were a family of 4 only. Look somewhere else if you like to taste Asian food.

You cant ask for a better fusion food than what these people produce. Right from Asian to Chinese to fusion,, tasted multiple dishes during my last few visits and the experience has been simply fabulous. The bar too is very elaborate and serves pretty much everything.

Called in on a freezing Sunday night because we couldn't get into Ellen's stardust diner. Quite nice decor and a pleasant girl served us. The food was dire some clear soup which had chilli powder in it which scorched your throat. My main was prawns in a batter but they hadn't skinned the prawns prior to frying them in the... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
