It was ok

This was our first meal in the city upon arrival and it filled a gap. Not much service, someone basically took our order, dumped the food and brought the bill, not much interaction, but we were too jet lagged to care. We had burgers, they were tasty.

Eating in NYC is a crapshoot. Most places (other than Subway sandwiches) is so expensive and you can do a lot of walking looking at high-priced menus and moving onto the next. So, you go for something familiar like Applebees and wonder how they can survive the high real estate prices of Times Square. It's simple. The $7.99 Chicken Fajita... More

We had heard about Applebee's before visiting New York, so thought we would give it a go. This is a totally over priced, over hyped basic American burger restaurant. The staff were ok but not as friendly as other restaurants. The menu was quite good but the food was very average and of very small portions, for the price you... More

Food was mediocre, service non-existent. I get that this place is fairly busy but I never saw my server again after I ordered. No refills, no nothing. Only saw the server when they brought the check.

Nice salads and one kid love their burger the other was only happy enough. Second visit in two years and I can't say we will be rushing back. My shrimp salad was as good as an M&S salad but 4 times the price so flavoursome but costly.

Expensive menu - portions were tiny and didn't bring the food we ordered - staff not particularly friendly. Not worth the money

We looked into Applebee's before arriving and eat there about three times during visit: two dinners and one breakfast. The breakfast came with cold potatoes which they promtly changed. I had Steak twice and it was very nice and done just how I requested. I just found the portions quite small not what you expect for US food.

This was a very comfortable bar/restaurant but was way over priced for what you got. I think there are much nicer places with much more reasonable prices

Went here for lunch to check it out as we had heard that it was quite good, were as disappointed as we were at the Cheesecake Factory. Food was average (had the enchiladas and hubby cant even remember) and over priced, service was average and was just all round average!

We escaped the cold on the street to enjoy a warm brunch here. Good menu with calories shown. some of which we wish they didn't. :) Low prices and tasty food.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
