Ideal for Breakfast

Just down for our hotel, First time in an Applebee's, only had breakfast here. Ample quantity of eggs, bacon and potatoes ( they like their spuds with breakfast, whatever happened to hash browns?). Service was good, lots of coffee and reasonably priced.

For the prices the portion sizes were small. Food tasted fine but not anything exciting. Service was ok.

We had breakfast here a few mornings while getting used to our surroundings. Basic service coupled with basic food. I had the pancakes and bacon, my partner had omelette. Coffee was tepid when served.

We went for breakfast on our last day. Was a lovely filling breakfast that wasn't too badly priced. We got straight in for breakfast too - no queueing. Ideal if you are located in Times Square. Service was not great though. They weren't really bothered about you being there, service was quite slow and apart from filling up a coffee... More

All Applebee's seem the same to me, which is not necessary a bad thing. Quality of the food is always good, prices are fair (even in hot locations like this), and there are always a couple of TV screens to keep one occupied. Compared to other branches this one seemed to have two smaller dining areas, and service could have... More

Had dinner in Applebee's on our first night in NYC. The food is OK but as some other reviewers said, it can be expensive. I was looking at my card bills today and it was the most expensive of all the places we have been to during this trip. And when I compare, I do not compare apples with bananas.... More

The food here was ok and the cocktails were delish but everything was overpriced. A friend and I had lunch here and it was the most expensive meal of the trip the atmosphere again is ok but nothing really special. I wouldn't discourage people going here but wouldn't recommend it. Especially considering how many other great places are nearby.

We had lunch here, soup and a sandwich and it was excellent we all enjoyed it very much (4 of us), it was so good that we decided to try it for diner one evening, it was still good but not as good as our lunch time offering. Service was first class and the place is very clean and well... More

We ate at Applebee's on 50th St for lunch a few days ago and enjoyed our meal for a reasonable price for this location so close to Times Square. Food and service were much better here than at the Applebee's on 42nd Street. Portions are quite large so my daughter and I shared a combo meal and it was plenty... More

We have only eaten in Applebee's whilst on holiday in Florida. All have been great. So we were looking forward to eating at this chain once again. Sadly it did not live up to past experiences. Service was poor, food ok. I asked for my burger to be cooked well done, no pink. Unfortunately this wasn't to be. The rest... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
