Good Breakfast

Our hotel was right around the corner, so we gave Applejack a try for breakfast. I didn't like that two of us weren't allowed to sit in a booth because there was only two of us. Other than that though we were very satisfied. Our food was fresh and hot and the coffee kept coming. Definitely get the... read more

Don't order anything exotic here, and you'll be fine. Stick with the tried-and-true diner food--eggs, burgers, sandwiches. I've eaten here twice, lunch and dinner. Service is efficient, but not necessarily friendly. Dinner was a bit overpriced.

We come here every time we come to NY and it never disappoints. The menu is huge so it can take a little time to work out what you work (personally, I love the veggie burger!) but there is something here for everyone. The staff are really nice and attentive. The location is great (very close to Times Square). The... More

I was in NYC for a few days around the holidays, staying at a hotel just a block or so away. I tried to go one morning with my mother who had her (incredibly small - as in 3 lbs.) dog with her. Because of this, we asked to be in either a booth or at least a table around... More

Out of our 2wk holiday in NYC we ate here the most, nice and friendly and not over priced. Sells everything from light snacks to huge meals (pork chops are wonderful) Just like to give a huge pat on the back to the owners and staff for making us welcome and for feeding us so well, Thankyou

Our Hotel recommended this place to us for breakfast. It was great. All the staff are super friendly and the food is great. Try the pancakes with all the extras. You won't be disappointed. The desserts are great also. We had evening meal also one night it was very good.Very reasonably priced for Manhattan.

Friendly diner just off Times Square, the menu is huge! The food is fine! I thought is was a little expensive for what it was! I had a Philly cheese steak and coffee and my fiancé had a hamburger and a Coke, the bill was just short of $50. The Mexican lad that served us was so nice, the owner/... More

Myself and my family were on holiday here in New York and we visited this restaurant close to our hotel after it was recommended from one of the hotel staff. After the first time we went there, we couldn't keep away and we ended up eating breakfast there nearly everyday for 2 weeks and a few times in the evening.... More

This is a classic American diner, with a fantastically varied menu, it took so long to choose, but we managed, very generous portions, friendly staff and reasonably priced.

Our party of 6 (all adults) visited Applejacks on our first morning of a five night break in New York after stumbling upon it near our hotel. We subsequently visited every morning bar one (we felt like we should go somewhere else the second morning but it didn't compare). Menu is great, so many choices and the staff are really... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
